DD has the ultimate say but I believe he listens to what the toad says very very carefully.

£15m isn't unaffordable but we wouldn't pay it.

I think it's always worth having the option there, though. If he comes in and absolutely kills it here, performs well for us in the Champions League and we do better than expected, it's at least worth having that option.

Dermot Desmond controls who we sign? The * who is never off a golf course and turns up to Celtic Park once in a blue moon is deciding who we sign?

    Don't be silly.

Loans with no option to buy are great if you need emergency squad depth like Idah etc, or have no money like the huns.

Situation we are in we have tons of cash and have ample time to find a suitable upgrade on Taylor.

Surely he has the ultimate say if he really does or doesn't want someone. I must have mis remembered some signings in the past that were apparently financed by him personally. Robbie Keane apparently.

I don't think there is any doubt that he picks the manager and he may get involved when a high profile Irish player becomes available every now and again but he's not running the transfer business of our club.

Robbie Keane was what? 15 years ago or something? Hardly equates to being involved.

It isn't "unaffordable" but as you say, we're never gonna pay it, so it's really a moot point.

If as you say he comes in and performs well for us in the CL and kills it domestically, has he not been a successful signing????

Some of our fans are absolutely demented when it comes to him, when he was CEO he was personally in charge of every bit of business we did, or was it only the bad bits? And after he's stepped down to a seat on the board and we have a new CEO somehow he is still in charge of every bit of business. Or is it just the bad bits again?

Other employees must love it that some fans can't see past him and he takes all the heat for any of the clubs shortcomings, and he's probably quite happy to sit in that position and shield other from criticism, it's obviously no skin off his sack if the fans don't like him after all these years.

    THIS!!!!

People, especially those on Twitter - theyre the worst - still think Lawwell is running the club day-today.

There's absolutely no danger that Nicholson is allowing himself to be dictated to, by a non-executive board member.

I hate Lawwell, but with his son being away, I’m not sure how much clout he will have over transfers now. When he was CEO, I think he absolutely had a massive say, and he should have been chased long before he squirmed away after Covid when another appointment of his in Lennon failed. I also think he will have had a big say last year as well with Jnr in the role he was. This season I’m not so sure however.

Wolves have told Celtic they are open to loaning out left-back Hugo Bueno but want him to be playing regularly, sources have told Football Insider.

It’s understood the Scottish Premier League champions have made contact with the Premier League club about a season-long loan deal for the Spain Under-21 international

Wolves are keen for Bueno, 21, to get regular top-level football as they plan for the next stage of his development and will accept what they regard as the right offer from a club with a clear development plan.

With in-form Rayan Ait Nouri and Matt Doherty ahead of Bueno in the pecking order, first-team opportunities will be hard to come by for the youngster

Celtic have been keeping close tabs on Bueno, as well as other left-back loan targets, as they look to provide competition for Greg Taylor

The Spain Under-21 international has been at Wolves for the entirety of his professional career so far, making 49 appearances and scoring once for the first-team

Bueno is an attacking full-back and was often utilised higher up the pitch as a left midfielder by Gary O’Neil last season

Celtic are in dire need of adding a left-back, if Taylor was to get injured next season, they wouldn’t have any first-team players to cover him who are truly comfortable in the position.

Taylor made 46 appearances for Celtic last season and recently featured in their 4-3 pre-season win over Manchester City in the USA

Want him playing regular? If he can’t over Taylor then Wolves have got bigger problems to worry about.

It's good to see more guys willing to stick up for the club these days against some of the absolute pollutions that stink this place out. The past year has been a * slog due to these rat bags doing nothing but attack the club constantly with zero consideration that they might be overreacting a tad.

More power to you @Mr. Slippyfist and some other posters, I think it's pretty important not to let * like @LectersLuncheon spew their bile and just get away with it.
