They're 10th in the Belgian league.

Bad night at the office last night but Anderlecht are no * world beaters. We definitely have more of a chance than scraping a draw against them at home. Hysterical nonsense.

Would be extremely disappointed if we didn't get the three at home to Anderlecht and also take something from the away game.

Don't expect anything from the others, but I expect to never be humiliated at home like that again.

I wouldnt be extremely disappointed to not take anything from the game away in Belgium. They are a very decent side who have reached the last 32, 16 and quarter finals of the Europa league in their last three seasons. A defeat in Belgium isnt the end of our group.

We should however be looking to beat them at parkhead and go through on our H2H record against them. Into the europa league, happy days.

If fans on here think that Anderlecht away is going to be anything other than a backs to the wall defensive job then theyll be dissapointed. Anderlecht were down to ten men against bayern last night, conceded only three and created three clear goal scoring chances themselves.

The standard of the EPL is far higher than the Belgian League but I get that poor domestic form isn't always transferable into a Champions League game. Does it warrant thinking we'll be lucky to scrape a point against Anderlecht at home?

Realistically we should be looking at 4. Whether that is enough to secure 3rd remains to be seen.

I've gone for 4 points as the most likely scenario ........... A home win against Anderlecht, and hopefully to pick up a point elsewhere.

I think the Anderlecht games are pretty much 50/50, we could get 0 points, or we could get 6.

And I do believe that if we play a tighter formation, play well, and have a little bit of luck; then getting a point against Bayern isn't impossible.

Anderlecht will be looking at us, and thinking 3rd place is in the bag.

Would we be lucky to scrape a point at home to them, I would agree with you and say no. In fairness we should be looking at them at home as a 3 pointer and anything less is unacceptable.

Mind you I'd say the same with the likes of gladbach and look at how that turned out.

As I've said since the draw, just have to beat Anderlecht at CP and draw away. Shouldn't even need the tiebreaker but first tiebreaker is H2H so it'll be difficult not to be 3rd.

This is still my view pretty much. Anderlecht fans are probably thinking the same about us.
