Beat 4-0 on aggregate in the Cup Winner's Cup in 1995.

PSG beat us 3-0 at CP, with goals from Patrice Loko and Pascal Nouma - who went on to play for Aberdeen and Livingston respectively.

Edit: Archive.org has the match report from the uefa website

Edit 2: Stephane Mahe and Paul Le Guen were playing for PSG :giggle1::giggle1:

Had a think and i think for a chance at second, however unlikely it may be, is for us first of all beat PSG at home, get a draw against Bayern, and beat Anderlecht home and away. Even then we'd need Bayern to beat PSG home and away. Leaves us on 10 points and PSG on 9 assuming they beat Anderlecht twice. Anderlecht clinching any sort of result would negate us needing a draw against Bayern.

6 points, beat Anderlecht home and away and anything else is a bonus.

Going from the Anderlecht fans on Reddit this is the worst team they have had in a while and they aren't expecting anything from our group.

Being honest I don't see anderlecht taking 0 points out of the 6 games and id be surprised if we took 6 them.

Ill.be happy with 3rd and think maybe 7 points

I honestly think it's far more likely that we will draw/win at Anderlecht than draw either of the others at home.

anything more than 5 will be a monumental task, i just dont think weve got the quality to push for anymore than a point from psg or bayern, yes we have skelped teams at parkhead before, but its changed days now, i just think its a bit beyond us. teams like psg and bayern are just too far ahead for me.

Anything above 4 points in a bonus. I expect to draw Anderlecht and beat them at home.

Why the lol face after your comment. We are Celtic! We are due a season with a bit of luck aswell thrown in. Season past, we've faired well against the bigger teams only to end up abit unlucky. I do believe we'll do very good this season. There's a mindset change in us that can't be underestimated! Just look at Conor McGregor for a strong mindest! Once you change your mindset, anything is possible!! Brendan is the man to do it.

I'm all for positivity mate but we will need one * of a performance to take anything out of the PSG and Bayern games. Littered with talent.

We've done it before so not impossible but not going into those expecting anything.

You have us down to get a point in Munich which would be a really hard ask. Not many teams go there and get anything.

    No option for 0?

Realistically I think we may pick up 1 point away and 4 at home.

The tinted glasses are well out in force with people thinking we will get close to 10 points.

It's EXTREMELY unlikely we will take any points away from PSG and Bayern. At absolute best a point from each. Unless we sort our back line out (with the exception of Tierney) very quick, it would be no surprise to see both PSG and Bayern put 4+ goals each past us. Bitton, Ajer and Lustig will leak goals to the likes of Lewandowski/Robben/James Rodriguez/Thomas Mueller and Cavani/Neymar/Di Maria. Bitton was found dead on his feet a couple of times against one of the Astana forwards nevermind against world class opposition.

Against Anderlecht we can only hope to beat them at home and get a draw away. The only saving grace is their previous top player, Youri Tielemans, has moved to Monaco. We stand a chance against them in a fight for 3rd place. Their record at home in Europe is not that great. They've won once at home since 2013 and have been beaten by the likes of Rostov. With our poor away form in Europe and their poor home form in Europe it could be anybodies game.

Think we'll beat Anderwank at home. Think we'll all be hoping that we can get something away to them but for me a draw would be acceptable though still difficult as we just don't travel well. That's 4 points.

As sad as it sounds, if that's how the group ends up that will likely be a decent effort by us.

Not expecting anything from the away games to PSG and Bayern. I don't expect much from us at home either. Football in Europe has changed so much that we're now dealing with 'super' clubs.

If I was being optimistic I'd hope for a famous victory over one of them at Parkhead...

That'd be 7 points and a pretty good CL campaign.
