wow Ive finally met my soul mate! :icon_mrgreen:. We're the two sane guys in the asyllum, mate.

My defining memory of the Strachan years when they finish will be towards the end of last season when a 60 year old man stood up and declared to our section - 'this is the worst celtic team Ive ever * seen, I cant take it any more' and left. Nobody disagreed with him. Yet Rangers collapse like a Led Zepplin and suddenly everything is rosy again? And the forum is mystified at the start of a new season when we aren't playing well. We havnae played well for 3 * years!!

I feel like RP McMurphy here! :56:

my * celtic fans do some serious moaning. this just goes back to the old debate, would you rather play like TB's celtic sides do and win the odd cup or play not so entertaining fitba and win the double? FFS bhoys cheer up, just think back to when those * were doing 9 in a row and enjoy the fact we're gonna make it 4 in a row

mate, maybe your 12 and too young to really remember what watching a decent Celtic team is like....but for future reference let me tell you, when we go 180 minutes against St.Mirren & Dundee United and create a grand total of 3 semi-decent chances what your watching isn't 'brilliant link up play'. Your watching pish.

In all honesty I enjoyed the burns years a * of a lot more. Winning the title was great last year because of the circumstances, but when your pish doing it and theres no competiton anyway it's a bit hollow. And it's an utterly false comparison when you take into account Burns took on probably the best Rangers team of the last 50 odd years, and Strachan the absolute worst. Even more so because Strachan also inherited a club with a winning mindset. He changed the personel, but the whole atmosphere round the place was a winning one, including the expectation of winning in Europe. These things make a huge difference. Burn had it very different.

Bottom line, I believe Burns did allot better with the situation he had than Strachan has.

i know what you're saying mate, TB had an awful lot of work to do when we took over, any team with mark mc nally in it needed changes big time but a football clubs success is based on trophies not attractive fitba IMAO, and i'm a lot happier watching us win playing average stuff and winning than the swashbuckling, edge of your seat stuff we had under TB and finishing second

are you really though? You really find visiting PH a much happier experience since he took over? Fair enough if you do BTW, but thats my major beef... I don't see the terrible entertainment value as disconnected from the half empty stadium and * atmosphere. Maybe I sound like an airy fairy *, but the vibrancy of the club as an institution is a bigger measure of success for me than just trophies. I mean would you rather be a Celtic fan or a Man Utd fan? A St.Pauli fan or a Chelsea fan? Trophies aren't everything in the end, there's much more.

But anyway....Falkirk on saturday, maybe we'll finally see this exciting attacking football he says he's been trying to create for 3 years.:50:

you're right, i haven't enjoyed any non old firm game in years, the atmosphere is dead and its a reflection of whats going on on the pitch. in an ideal world we'd win by 5 or 6 every week and turn the style on but i'm content winning ugly rather than losing playing sexy fitba.

hopefully we do see some exciting fitba against falkirk, but i wont hold my breath mate:50:
