    Being honest, it will be a pleasant surprise to me if we make the CL Group stage never mind progressing further in that competition.

    As for the EL, could maybe get a run going if we avoid a really bad draw.

    Not sure why we would should view getting to the CL group stages as an incredible achievement given the route we have to go through.

    There is setting the bar too high but also setting the bar too low like this. I'd be happy this season to reach the CL group stages, put up a good showing and drop down to the EL. All depends of course on the draw – could end up with PSV from pot 1 or alternatively two sides who would normally have been in pot 1. <o:p></o:p>

    Its a catch 22 now with the champs league. We could be given a "group of death" because the new format, OR we could be drawn a easier group once again because of the draw.
    I feel with ronny at the helm we could reach the quarters of the champs league with a good draw.
    EL on the other hand I feel we could genuinely go on to win that.
    Take inter as an example last season.
    That's there level and on another night we coulda been going to the san siro with a 3-1 lead, bearing in mind it was Ronnys 1st season and a new team ect ect...
    Progression is all I ask for tbh if we make the groups every year I will be happy.

    Of course it is an acheivement, but we are in the Champions path, seeded and facing teams most, if not all, of whom we will dwarf financially. I'll save the incredible achievements talk for when we do something incredible!

    It shouldn't be a massive achievement. It should be an expectation every season.

    We need to set our sights on the group stages. We are a selling club with a better reputation than most others.

    That has to be our goal. To be in and about the top 32 teams in the world, is not impossible but would be a great achievement.
