How Do You Think The Club Should Deal With Leigh Griffiths?

Honestly, I think we're all hoping Griffiths does well here and that will sway a lot of peoples opinions, but deep down I don't think it would be at all unfair to sack him.

 

This whole episode has to be a giant wake up call to the guy and he will either have to grow up/shape up or ship out. The club is bigger than any one individual no matter how skilled they are and he needs to learn how to behave. A big apology would be a good start.

 

I honestly believe he will be sacked but if it was to be done before an "official" verdict is reached we run the risk of being sued by him.
I wanted him to be signed and being honest am gutted it has come to this.

Yet Griffiths is behavior is being swept under the carpet by some as just banter, to me it is just ridiculous double standards.

 

With the recent charges from the SFA, Lennon's earlier statement that he has a zero tolerance policy on racism, and the police investigation likely going to result in charges against him, I think Griffiths is well and truly done at Parkhead.

I said earlier that I really don't think he is a malicious man. I think in his mind he really was just having a *-up and a laugh. I have a lot of sympathy for him, I can only imagine how horrible and gutted he must feel right now knowing that in all likelihood his career is over. I also feel sorry for his wife and kids. But actions have consequences and he has to pay the price for it. Because I don't believe he was of ill-will, I don't want to see him sacked. But at the end of the day I can see the argument for why he should be.

I hope he can keep his job with us and grow up and make amends for his stupidity. But I will not fault the club if they let him go.

could that have been him singing the same song but the 2nd footage has the skacel song dubbed over it, someone mentioned in the comments and i was looking at both clips

he looks to the right before stepping down and the right arm was the last arm up in both clips

That second song is quite horrible and cannot be qualified as just banter. I thought the refugee part would only be a minor part (or even just an add on) of a regular song. I hope the footage is false, as I cannot support a player singing songs like that.

 

This is all blown well out of proportion. Hes a daft wee laddie that that was being coaxed into singing a song.he picked the wrong song to sing no doubt but to be sacked for it would be a joke.If skacel indeed was a refugee then we're into different territory but im pretty certain he ain't no refugee.

Sick of hearing about the media's agenda on this matter as well. It is completely irrelevant on this issue in my opinion. It won't sway my mind on how I want Griffiths to be dealt with, and I wouldn't hope many other fans mind would be made up for them either. I want him gone, not because the media say so, but because I don't want him associated with the club. It's that simple for me.
