How Do You Think The Club Should Deal With Leigh Griffiths?

People don't want him sacked, fine, I can understand where they are coming from with the whole rehabilitation/education thing. It's noble and charitable. Pointless imo but that's beside the point.

What i can't get is people defending him and making excuses for him, "oh it's just banter" "joviality" "he's just an idiot", "just following the crowd"... lot of * pish. Being a dumb * is no excuse for discriminatory behaviour.

To anyone trying to defend him ask yourself this, if you seen a video of, say, Lee McCulloch singing "Brother Walfrid was a * refugee", would you be passing it off as banter or misplaced joviality?

No, I'd think he was a total *, but I wouldn't wring my hands in an angst ridden state for days on end over it. Griffiths is a * too and should be heavily punished and an attempt should be made to make him realise the error of his ways.

Another thing actually, look at how alot (probably myself aswell TBH) reacted to wee spence years ago when posted the "lyrics" to famine song most of our support hung him for it.

I have yes. I think people are entitled to react the way some of them have.

I myself never wanted him here in the first place, i thought he was a loose cannon at best and a racist wee ned at worst, either way I could see him shaming the club in some way. No way did I think it would be so quick though.

I was willing to give him one chance and i feel he threw it back in my (and others) faces.

 

Fine him, have him issue an apology and then give him one more chance. If he does anything like it again then get rid of him. Last thing we need is our own players acting like how the huns behave week in, week out.

 

Thing was spence was a very young teenager at the time..

 

Sorry but Sean is right here, Griffiths is playing for Celtic and that comes with certain responsibilities. Personally I don't see him lasting long.

Who wants him hung drawn and quartered? Many of us simply don't want him associated with Celtic anymore for fairly obvious reasons. Others, such as myself, want somethng constructive to be done about his racism (and other issues) if he is to stay with us.

Stop bringing the huns into every * thing. Yes the media have an agenda, so what? That's not the issue here.

 

Bit of a generalisation there. That folk that have a problem with this have "probably participated" in it ourselves? And there's nothing "alleged" about it. It's there for everyone to see.

 

Take your tin foil helmet off for a minute and you'll realise that what Griffiths did was being debated before Sevco got their arses handed to them by Raith Rovers. So this is not a matter of deflection(not by Celtic fans anyway).

Griffiths is a clown. It's not the first time he's demonstrated what a tube he is. To reiterate what Sean Daleer has already said, if a Sevco player had been caught on video singing a song about an Irish player, and referring to them as a refugee, many of the people who are on here defending Griffiths would be going apeshit.

There's a lot of hypocrisy going on here.
