As I said, we'll see what happens. There's a world of difference between banning a fan who pays a few hundred quid for a season ticket, and binning a player who most likely received a decent signing-on fee and for whom the club have paid good money.

I know it doesn't sit well with some of our support, but the club won't give a * if he's singing songs about refugees from a moral standpoint. They're only going to be concerned that he gets caught doing so, and that it affects the club itself.

Yeah, as I said, the club should be holding their own employees to an even higher standard.

But he was caught, and it is affecting the club. Not only that, but the manager not so long ago stated that this kind of conduct was an instant sackable offence. The fact that the board has shown no morals or backbone in recent years does not mean that the supporters have to follow suit. He should be sacked- but maybe the club will try to sell him in the summer in an attempt to recoup some of the money spent on him- either way, he should never play for Celtic again.

Celtic supporters will still be around long after Leigh Griffiths is gone, and if you * off enough of them then there will be problem down the line.

You can't ban fans for being "offensive" and then ignore your players being "offensive".

I really don't see any way how Griffiths can survive this.

Its simple. Get rid of him. He will only have himself to blame for * up a major chance ( and probably his only chance ) of playing champions league football. Why people want a racist to have a second chance is beside me. Racism has no place in football full stop. He knew what he was doing, in my opinion he HAS to go. Make an example of him and get rid

I'm sorta in between sacked and issue an apology.
I don't want to see him go I think he has what we've been missing and has more goals than nice guys, Pukki & Balde in his 3 month visit here.
But at the same time you can't let a clubs values like ours slip because it's a good player.

    Uch *.

Not much of an investigation, there is video evidence.

    Sacking him makes no sense.

If found guilty, he should be transfer listed immediately. That sends out the right message that the Celtic family won't tolerate such behaviour, and the club will recoup some of his original transfer fee from the subsequent summer sale (to a championship club most likely!).

Real shame as the boy clearly has talent!

I don't want him sacked or anything definitely not. But a fine isn't going to cut it because the guy doesn't seem to learn. Maybe a club suspension will do the trick ?

I don't know. Glad I'm not dealing with it.

a public apology via video to rudi scatchel and any other refugee for his stupid and untoleratable behavior and a hope that the celtic fans and scotland fans will forgive him

him failing to make this statement means contract is ended asap or is put up for sale which ever the club wants to do

him making this statement publically and it being reported in the media would be more beneficial in changing minds and hopefully stopping this behavior from spreading and also show this sort of feeling out there that singing racist songs will not be tolerated by the club or the country

think the pf should charge him aswell personally

Firstly, I think its an important topic for the fans to debate and get their view points across. LG arrived at the club with Baggage, he should have kept a low profile and really shouldnt have put himself in a position like he has.

Heard Scott Brown walked out a press conference today after being asked about this.

What annoys me is the fact we are a club founded by what Leigh calls ''refugees''. He might want to look a little bit into the history of the club that's paying his wages before he comes out with any more ignorant bullshit like that.

I'm dissapointed. He can come back from this but I was hoping he would have got a grip before signing for us. We don't need another Derek Riordan type character at the club.

What about banning him from Europe all of next season? Could hurt us short term but would be enough of a kick to make him grow up? Naw? k.

The press were told not to ask him about it. Grant from STV, who is usually good said 'I have to ask you about Leigh Griffiths'. Brown walked out.

    Fair enough.
