He's far from the worst player, but no more effective than MAF in my opinion (although he's younger & is likely to improve). Would we be talking about a £7 million value if he was playing in the Bundesliga or Eredivisie? I don't think so. Regardless, it's in the past now - next dodgy tabloid rumor please! :bbpd:

 

Prior to our unexpectant goal drought after January I certainly wouldnt have considered Fletcher a better player than Jan or Samaras. And in hindsight I am still not sure that he is any better! Not too many teams wanted him then and not too many want him now. Stokes is a much better proven SPL performer IMO!

 

tbh its all if's and but's and do you mind if i don'ts.fletchers clearly a decent player but if he came here and didn't score in the 2 games we needed the goals in he would have been considered a flop.we will get someone better and for less money,of that i'm confident of regardless of who the manager is or wether that someone is already here(ras?)

Not much. He's a good player but not a great player.

 

Would Fletcher have scored at Easter Road in that 0-0 draw? Probably not.

 

Good player but not a good striker with a prolific goal scoring record at any club he's been at! Would rather Fortune if we are going to talk about strikers who aren't prolific goal scorers, he is a better player at bringing other players into the game and with his back to goal!

 

Its Amazing how people think if we signed Fletcher we would have won the league.

We signed Bellamy and Keane and never one the league in those 2 seasons.

We lost the league in these 2 seasons because of our inability to defend!

 

Would say it was the manager why we lost the league last year.

My point is there is no guarente if we signed fletcher we would have won the league.
