How annoying are our EX players that are in the media (BURLEY)

He was a really great player for us and we would not have stopped 10 without him. People remember Stan but Burley was a great player who was like a cross between Stan and Lenny for us. His partnership with Lambo was excellent and barnes is the only reason it was so short lived. However, I have to admit that Burley is a seriously smug git who I think likes putting the SPL down to make himself and his EPL career look special. I think he has a lot of bitterness but you can kind of see why. He was part of a great CM pairing that Barnes was so blind he broke up. His career then went into freefall and even the excellent Dundee team he signed for went bust and his contract torn up. His career just fell into freefall.

 

Mind you that toothless grin was a great sight when he was a Celtic player. It meant he had scored and he tended to score belters and bog game goals for Celtic and Scotland.

Talks a right load of pish! i mean yesterday he was shouting about hw aiden McGeady kicked the ball away and got a pointless booking and how stupid he was, then wen that maclean done it never said * all! *! Then when we played motherwell i think it was and mcgeady got sent off for 'diving' he slated mcgeady to *. the * guy went on about it for weeks! like he never done anything unproffesional in his * career!

 

How many times did he bring up the boruc pen (witch wasn't a pen in a million years)

He went on about it for ages brought it up again 10 mins later- then again when we scored our 3rd saying "now that penalty decision comes into reckoning" and then again when aberdeen got there 4th saying "and aberdeen should have had another penalty don't forget"

 

hes a waste of space, i hate the way he goes on as if he was a world class player, he was * and hes the scottish equvelant to andy gray.

Fair to assume that ex old-firm players are warned to use head and not heart when dissecting individual events on the pitch.Many,understandably in the heat of emotion perhaps,have fallen foul of what the green/blue tinted specs tell them they saw.But for Burley not to rescind what he asserted about the penalty,indeed to upgrade his opinion to full-blown "STONEWALL",after a few replays,ought to show ESPN, at the very least,that Burley is trying too hard to distance himself as an ex-Celtic player.They will now understand that his overstated objectivity is hampering any sound reasoning as a commentator and act accordingly.

 

Didn't see the game y'day so cant comment on Burley.Davy Provan is another imo that sticks the knife into Celtic when he's on the box. Seemingly this stems back many years ago when he was refused entry to Parkhead when he thought he was in for a freebie.Great wee player that he was Ive got no fecking time for him now

Craig Burley talks as if he was Kaka or Scholes. This is the guy that went in a huff cos Celtic asked him to play in a defensive role.

Then he went on to the glittering heights of Derby County and Dundee.
