Aye, typical Saturday. My granda who always bets stopped betting on a saturday a few month ago, smart decision as it seems the majority of winners on a Saturday are ones that are about 12/1 to 16/1.

The bookies must rake 10s of millions in every weekend.

Forgot there too i've a chance of ending up still coming out on top the day(or morra) as my only coupon I put on for £1 just waiting on Atletico, Barca, Leverkusen, PSV and Ajax who I think should all win, Leverkusen are 1-0 up in 2 minutes.

Something very fishy going on there with the Mullins outsider beating Limini while Ruby gives Limini a terrible ride.

Nah....they are all already millionaires the lot of them. In this day and age, to make a sting on the bookies is almost impossible, unless for less than 100k, and that is pocket money to those *.
    Wouldnt be worth their while.

    Just one of those things.

Jockeys regularly get it in the neck from me, but now and then, you have to take your hat off to them, and i have to say that if ever i have seen a potential champion jockey, it is Oisin Murphy....that lad has it all.

Not been doing that well recently. Probably about £80ish down on the horse racing in the last 2 weeks up till then I had been winning for a couple of months, relied on a couple of winners too to recoup money after being down £40/50 to get back in front probably happened 3 times in the last week.

Aye, May hasnt been kind to me either! I keep records of my gambling and it seems this is a regular occurrence.....think it is to do with betting on so many flat horses without current form. 2/3 yearolds etc. Also, too many big handicaps where anything can win.

An incredibly open Derby this year, with almost the whole field bar maybe 2 or 3, in with a genuine chance of a place at least.

Ive looked through most of the form and all the replays available, and id be lying if i said i was remotely confident about my picks, but being the Derby, i feel obliged to have a punt as i love the whole day/occasion......so, its 2 im going for, both about 8/1, Harzand and Cloth of Stars, with a small saver on Ulysses at 9/1.

Ive gone £6 each on my picks, and £3 on my outsider!

Another 16/1 shot for the lad. Prior to today, he is +£7 for all turf races this season!!

Done £10 double Caravaggio and Meccas Angel for £82 and £5 on Waady and Mokarris to get a place(first 5 places) for £40. Few other wee mixes of accumulators.

It was when i seen how easy it won the Breeders cup mile that swayed it for me...coupled with the ease with which American and Aussie horses have won at Ascot in the past. Only had £6 on it but a good start.

Im going for 3 or 4 good priced horses in this race backing against the top 2 in the betting.

edit...gone for Mokarris, Yalta and Thunder Snow, all about 3 o £4 at odds from 8-12/1.

If I was backing an outsider it would be Van Der Decken
