The demon is a liar. He will lie to confuse us; but he will also mix lies with the truth to attack us. His attack is psychological, Damien. And powerful.”

Haven't been many horrors in recent years I've liked, Conjuring films are alright I suppose, still prefer the older ones. Watched Before I Wake the other day though, and it was alright.

Dawn Of Dead circa 78 and Salem’s Lot circa 79 are very hard to match. Both superb Horrors. These two are my all time favourites.
First saw Salem’s Lot as a lad with mum dad and 2 sisters, the original two part of the TV Movie. We all .hite ourselves, never saw the scary scenes coming. Mr Barlow what a star!:84:
There is a superb atmosphere and soundtrack inter linking with the Great story, cool characters and superb production.
Then there is Dawn Of The Dead, first saw this Mega Horror Gem 3 years later. The Zombie anything of all time and as a horror it ticked an unreal amount of Boxes.
But that said I am having great fun picking in order my number 3-30 Horror Films. :84:

Done a Top 40. First two choices were no problem, the other 38 were a Nightmare to get in some sort of order. :84:

Was the same with my Top 30 - the first 5 placed themselves, the rest depends on what mood I'm in!

Just watched Friday the 13th for the first time (I know) i get that its 40 years old but why is it so iconic? I thought everything was awful from the story to the acting and it wasn't even a twist finding out the killer as there was no misdirection pointing the audience to anyone else:43:

As a big horror fan, I agree with you mate. I wouldn't even call it a proper horror film. More a slasher movie, and they're all quite similiar in style. Some of them are ok, but, like yourself, I thought Friday The 13th a wee bit over-rated

It is okay when you are a 16 or under back in the day,but has not really lasted the test of time like true Classics!!!:50:

Tagging again all those that have been part of compiling this list (as well as usual suspects), reminding to get your rankings in. Am going to extend the deadline though, I think.
