Was a little dissapointed in Hoopers lack of celebration when he scored today, it looked like someone just died the way he reacted i actually thought the goal was chalked off. Now before some of yous jump down my throat and say it was because he was having a bad game, if thats the case you would think you would at least give a sigh of relief followed by a big grin but no, he acted like Henriks goal for barca against us. Even when he got subbed lenny went up to him to congratulate him but got snubbed.
Now dont get me wrong here i think Gary is a fantastic player and he has done brilliant for us, but something just didnt look right with him.
Have i missed something with him, cause scoring the goal which is keeping our amazing record alive deserves at least a yeeeee haaaaa :50:

yea was wondering why he didnt celebrate myself, im just assuming he wasnt happy with his performance or something along them lines
-
Get the impression nowadays that not celebrating and acting cool is the new celebration...........if that makes sense.
-
Perhaps he was simply frustrated that he'd knocked one in sooner, or the other night might have been on his mind, as well.
-
Probably just having an off day. He didn't look 'with it' before he scored and I think he's just feeling a bit under the weather right now, for one reason or another.
It is winter and there's a lot of illness going about. There's one suggestion :50: -

It's not the first time he's done it and won't be the last. I remember he did the same at Ibrox when he got the equaliser, I was convinced it didn't count because of his reaction to scoring.

Because it was a normal goal for him, he didn't egg it.
-
Any replays? Didnt notice it myself :56:
-
because he couldn't fit a lion, a chair and the Olympic torch into his sock.
-
Yeah maybe im looking at it from a "supporters" point of view, i for one was giving it big licks when i was sure the goal stood lol. Maybe the new generation of players apart from boyhood fans see it as their "job" and thats what they are paid to do, nothing more nothing less. However if he keeps banging them in im happy :50:

Maybe he was fed up about having to play alongside Samaras up front. Hooper always enjoys himself more when Anthony Stokes is alongside him.
Whatever the reason, I wouldn't make a big deal out of him not celebrating. I've seen plenty other players doing the same thing in the past. -

i heard a rummour that he killed someone last night buy kicking there head in, so him and stokes put them in the trunk of his car drive him up the campises buried his body then done a rain dance to which it never rained....and this was playing with his head as he done his moves perfect yet still no rain....

I think that celebration reeks of relief and a bit of disappointment with himself. He knows he should have done better in his past couple of games and is relieved to have bagged a goal.
Thanks for the video mate -
Didn't even notice his celebration or lack of tbh.
Nothing to get worried about at all. -
