Heading to St Kitts and Nevis for christmas this year. Always good to get out of the cold for a nice christmas break in warmer climes.

Love your passion for travel. Some great trips you have lined up there. Only one trip for 2025 lined up myself so far. Heading out to Death Valley in California with my wife at the end of March for a week out there. Still haven't figured out the summer plans yet beyond getting home to Ireland for a bit.

Cheers, I like Christmas and for me it should be cold - its what I’m used too so it will tick that box…. BUT, having spent a Christmas and New Year in the states once before the constant “Happy holidays” drove me * mad :54:

haha thats quality. Got a good laugh from that. :68:

I get what you are saying about christmas is supposed to be cold. I grew up with it too obviously in Ireland as well. But I have to tell you after the first christmas I spent in the Caribbean years ago I changed my tune on that. We were in the Cayman Islands and I looked at my wife while we were having christmas dinner at a table on the beach and commented on how brilliant this was and how the snow could go * off she laughed and agreed and we now do this every year usually somewhere in the Carribean.

Oh I should have said the Christmas/New year was spent in Florida with Christmas Day in Sanibel (spelling) The Keys, so it wasn’t cold but, I’am afraid I prefer some cold to warm weather but it was the Happy holidays that near broke me man lol.
I hope you enjoy the break it’ll certainly be a touch warmer than our break :giggle1:

Aye well I was fortunate enough that my parents took me abroad every year as a bairn so it kind of sparked my interest. One of my cousins quit her job with her now husband a few years back and did a round the world trip for a year, said it was the best thing they'd ever done. I'd love to do that but I've got my dog so no chance I'd leave him for that long. My thing just now is trying to visit countries I haven't been to before so this year I've ticked off Australia and Norway. Next year will be my first time in South America. Absolutely buzzing for it.

I hear you with your dog as well. We usually left ours with my wifes dad when we went away. But she sadly passed a way a couple of years ago. For various different reasons we have not got a new dog yet although we will but for sure finding a good way for your dog to be taken care of while your on your trip is big. Enjoy the trips and feel free to share and or drop me a message with any questions. I have been fortunate to do a lot of travelling myself and as retirement gets closer the plan is to do even more when that happens.

I love it the keys are brilliant. That is actually what we did for christmas last year although we flew all the way down to Key West and stayed there. Took a boat trip out to the Dry Tortugas for one of the days we were there which was cool. It's technically a national park but is about a 2.5 hour boat trip off the coast of Key West well worth checking out if your down that way again. When it comes to cold weather, well living in Chicago I can assure you I get my fill of that all winter. Tomorrow for example the low will be about -25c so when it comes to christmas/new years trips I am all in on the warm weather. So roll on this years trip to St Kitts and Nevis where the high is 28c the day we arrive when I checked last night!
