Yeh, I'm a huge Kanye fan and I just can't get into it. College Dropout and My Beutiful Twisted Dark Fantasy are two of my favourite albums ever.

 

No one comes close to Kendrick Lamar just now. Lyrically off the charts.

 

I don't think I've actually listened to either, surprisingly (apart from a few tracks - Jesus Walks, All of the Lights, etc.). Might have listened to College Dropout but it's years ago now if I did. Late Registration is one of my favourite albums of all time. It's the first album I remember buying.

The last two minutes are ace and when he goes "Supersonic" how he can rap like that for 15-20 seconds.. Wow

 

I'm sure he's on Ems new album, Hopefully they create something magic.

 

Honestly see like the last verse on Survial its the perfect example of people overlooking how good his lyrics are just because its on a mainstream beat. anybody thay says he is just pop name me somebody else who raps lyrics like him yet still sells millions of records. He says it perfectly in rap *.

Which he rhymes, wordplays everything in just 8 words and sums himself up perfectly.

 

Not being funny that rap * has so many more rap styles and bars than most rap albums/mixtapes i've heard in years combined.

I'm not overlooking his lyrical ability,we all know he's one of the very best around,the fact he's outshined everyone he's ever appeared on a song with is proof of that.His first few albums,when he was young and hungry,are rightly considered classics.More recently however,it feels like he's rapping without a purpose,a lack of direction.....the beats also suck and the target audience would appear to be the wider pop world,songs with the likes of Pink,Lil Wayne and Rihanna.

Maybe he said it perfectly in 2001:

'Full of controversy, until I retire my jersey / 'Til the fire inside dies and expires at 30'

Well it looks like it did burn out,and it's a shame,but hip hop is bigger than Eminem and it will continue to grow with or without him.

I've heard it's different from his other albums. Is this a good thing?
