I reckon East Coast might just take it.

All of the rappers I seen mentioned are good but no DMX?

Eazy - E is probably still my favorite rapper of all time.

2Pac & Biggie are a close second (can't really choose between them).

West Coast has better beats, East Coast has better lyrics.
I personally prefer West, my favourite East Coast rappers are all influenced by the West and South anyway, I don't like the proper gritty East Coast New York rappers tbh - with the exception of DMX.

I'll go with that. You can't beat albums like Illmatic for lyrics, whilst Snoop Dogg hardly ever says anything of substance on his records but the beats and production are sublime.

UK Hip Hop is my preference if we are talking about locations.

There are loads of really good artists over here these days but they seem to get constantly overlooked by the public in the UK. This thread is testament to this as it is mostly American artists that get posted in here.

I think I prefer the local (UK) hip hop the most as it represents the culture that we have here in the UK. It's harder for me to identify with American hip hop culture as they spit about a culture that isn't quite mine.

This video from The Peoples Army shows just a wee sample of the talent we have here in our part of the world and I would love to see folks like this get the attention in the UK.
