Thing it, it was clear we we're getting shot with his exclusion from Euro squads. Im hoping we weren't depending on money from that to sign a keeper etc. Means hes still on the wage bill to and on quite a bit.

at the same time, mate, the guy got injured training hard with the club despite probably understanding he was moving on. I wouldn't be too upset that we're stuck paying wages as that's partially why there are contracts, to protect players when the game does their bodies in.

It's really simple: all an attacker has to do is square him up, hit the ball 2 or 3 feet to their right, and swing in a cross into our box. I've seen it everytime that Hinkel has played.

Saying that, any cruciate injury is abysmal for a footballer to go through and I hope he comes through it and goes on to be a success wherever he plays.

I disagree, I thought he was one of our few solid players last season.

This is really sad news. I hope the club sees this out and doesn't let an injured man go

Just a suggestion. Since Hinkel was going to be leaving anyway and he is in the last year of his contract, would it not be better for him to jsut move back home now? Celtic buy out the remainder of his contract so that he and his family don't need to be in Glasgow twiddling their thumbs. Thnk it would be better for him personally. Feel proper sorry for the guy coz he would have got his move to Germany before his injury.

    spot on mate.

If he is on 15k per week - 60k per month with 8 months remaining.

give him half 240k and call it quits

good luck he was the stand out player last season great to see celtic are supporting him. I think lennon was countin on a transfer fee from hinkel though
