    sad for him Lawell must be thinking that injury has basically made him a free transfer and cost us 1-2 million and is probably crying and blowing his nose with the Celtic cheque book. Oh the biscuit tin feels a little more empty tonight - just rich teas and fig rolls left now

    You never want to see any player get a bad long term injury. But this is really rough on Hinckel. Clearly he was being told by Celtic your not in our plans any more go find another club and now he can't even do that. He gave us good service at right back and came over as a very honest pro. Good luck to him as he fights back from this.

    Gutted for him, never understood why lenny doesn't seem to rate him. If hes going to be out for the season,the last of his contract, we would be better of terminating it instead of paying him 30,000 a week with zero chance of being back before the seasons out.

    Wow, hold up. In what way has the club treated him like "*" ??

    He's in the last year of his contract, whos to say he hasnt rejected a contract put forward by Celtic? And even if Celtic havnt approached him with a contract offer, Lennon will have a reason for not playing Hinkel. He is Strachans signing, obviously Lennon doesnt fancy him if he isnt playing. Maybe he didn't want to risk getting him injured so that he could sell him ( which would be pretty ironic ).

    But i just don't see why the club are supposedly treating him like *. Fair enough if he got a long term injurey and then we terminated his contract.

    He's not been treated like * or shafted by the club. Hinkel is reportedly on about £30k a week, we're trying to reduce the wage bill and he was wanting more money, it's unfortunate but that's just the way it is, so we needed to offload him, doesn't look like that's going to happen now though.

    i'm still really dissapointed we are trying to punt him never mind the fact he's injured; if cha gets injured we have no rb cover!

    i'll be sad to see hinkel leave in such a fashion
