Hibs V Celtic (official thread)

Had six saves to make, two in the last few minutes saved the points. No players really had a great game today, but 3 points for a poor game, I'll take it anyday!

 

Very exciting game, our performance mediocre, while Hibs were tough opponents. Last 20 minutes were very bad, Hibs were close to equalise. Boruc seaved our * few times, Magic wasn't playing well. We were lucky not to draw it.

 

Played great 1st half but listen bhoys i think hibs pushed us all the way,wonder what the score will be next week Hearts vHuns which team does the bhoys want to win,hope its a draw then we win and go three points behind hearts and 5 in front off the huns

we burned out to quick, BBJ was not at the races today.

great first 30 mins then we were just making up the numbers 2nd half.

still 1-0 results win leagues.

Hope it's a draw?????? No chance. lets hope Hearts win. We want as many points taken from Rangers as pos. When Burley starts making real noises about Vladimir Romanov and his signing policy, the team they will start showing the strain. Burley is already hinting that he feels uncomfortable with the interferance in team affairs, give it a month and he'll be mixing it with Romanov and that can only be bad for the team. Rangers are our real concern so lets get some points off them and leave Hearts to collapse in their own time.

i agree.. this is probably the safest way since we will still b a gd few infront of rangers, and then not as far behind hearts. but we cant afford stupid mistakes, the bhoys were lucky 2day. well done 2 Boruc, he was great, i think that they need 2 make more of an effort all the time, and big john has got 2 move, his shot on goal was more like a pass 2 the goalie, mind u he did make the important link up before stans goal, its just no good when he's so ineffectial! just happy we have the three points!!

 

I would prefer Hearts to win - give us a 6 point lead over the huns who imo are still our biggest danger. Then , we beat Hearts at CP next month it's down to 2 points (If Hearts don't drop anything before then). I would take a draw as well tbh but I would much prefer a Hearts win.

 

I think that our main strenght in 1st half were short passes and fast play. Long balls in 2nd half gave us nothing. I know that Hartson is one of Celtic's icons and I'm sorry to say that, but Celtic should give up its "cross and pray" (for Hartson's header) tactic - Naka, Maloney, Zuraw and Beattie should all play together from the begining.
Our play was not impressive, especially in 2nd half, but big improvement in our defence - another clean sheet and another 3 points - makes me happy.

I thought Celtic were superb in the 1st half guys, and like Radzak said, in the 1st half the quick and sharp passing worked well for us, but in the 2nd half we played too much long balls forward. None of the strikers were great today, which is why we probably only won by one goal.

Boruc was fantastic as usual, he's the kind of keeper that will win us leagues...If it wasn't for Klos and Waterreus for Rangers, we would have won 5 leagues in 5 seasons, instead of only 3. I'm sick of the huns sneaking points thanks to goalkeepers, they are let off with far too much. I think its safe to say that Boruc will win many games for us this season.

Another cleansheet, but even though Boruc deserves a * of a lot of credit, the defence should also be credited...I thought we were solid at the back today, especially Bobo. All in all I think we deserved the win todad, and if our strikers played half as good as they have before, we would have won by 3 or 4 in the 1st half.

 

Does anyone has Boruc's last-min. save? I'm not sure if I will see this game. I hope I'll.
