I'm asking who you think is going to stop us winning the league ? You keep saying you think we might no win it. We could have lost today and our last 4 games and the probability is we would still win the league. Folk talk about "green tinted specs" however seem incapable of looking at things objectively. Fair enough if you weren't happy with today's performance or recent performances. However to say you don't think we will win the league is just mental. No neutral observer would understand that. Before today we were 99.5% certain of winning the league now it is probably only 98%. The second placed team in the league have won 5(maybe 6) games against the top 6 all season ( 4 of those were against the diet huns who they don't play again). The chances of them then making up 9 points in four games on the top team are negligible. You wouldn't expect that in any other league in the world so why in this one ?

I’ve repeatadly agreed I’d have had Weah on as well. I’m just asking if you can see why when we’re chasing a goal, you bring one of your top goalscorers on?

I feel that Eddy is more effective in a 2 up front formation because his best work is done on the edge of the box where he knows defenders have to be careful which allows him to be creative. Weah showed what can be done in a few minutes when he hooked up with Eddy who should have scored even though it was some save by the keeper

I'm saying no on a personal note because of what I've seen of him consistently in the big game's in coming 2 year mate..

I'm also saying it about Lenny due to him patently no wanting him in and sticking a much inferior player in Hayes in because of it..

Sinclair hasn't done 1 thing positive since Lenny came in. Weah has in the limited time both have come on..

It isn't the fluffing his lines I have a problem with, strikers are going to miss, it's his complete lack of urgency to get on the end of balls. He wants the ball to feet thirty yards out and beat six men and score, he doesn't want to anticipate one at the back post.
The one McGregor left and he knocked over is criminal from a centre-forward, not because he missed it, but because he switched off. He didn't expect the mistake.

He isn't the sole reason we didn't win the game, I think it was as simple as a lack of urgency as much as a lack of quality, but we had chances and that's what strikers are there for. Assuming Eddy is here next season, and for all my criticisms I hope he is, we need to start thinking about a tactical reshuffle to get the best out of him and the team. Considering how we dominate possession and chances domestically, we need a classic 'number 9' on the pitch and have Eddy off him.

In isolation, I agree. It's the bigger picture under Lennon. Defensively seem slightly better. Bozo thrives on the nonsense approach. Going forward is poor. With BR there were options, contingencies, a tweak here or there when the game isn't going our way. This is all too lacking. His use of substitutions is baffling also. The man's a legend so not gonna put him down. He'll get is there in the end.

Moving onwards, Celtic have progressed beyond Lennon's knowledge and capabilities in the past 4 years. We need someone to come in and continue this, whilst improving us in Europe.

Thank Christ we never lost today :giggle1:

Definitely. When you are dominating games you need a poacher in the Hooper/Griff mould and Eddy can drift around the pitch then and do his thing without the responsibility.

No one team will stop us winning the league. IF we blow it, it'll be because of US. We cannot hit any sort of form at the moment and we've got 2 * away games coming up where, under recent performances, we could easily drop more points. Newcastle blew a big lead in 96 so hoping we don't do something similar. Three goalless draws under Lennon since he came back, 2 at home is not good enough

    * result but Hibs are always up for it against us.

Yes we have injuries and we seem to be stumbling over the line to winning the league but Lennon’s Inability to change it up when it’s not working still shows he has not learnt from the last time he was here.

I’ve said it since he came back and I will say it again, I really don’t think he is the man to take us forward.

I love him he done well as a manger before but for me he is not the answer. Will he get the job? I think so because Lawwell is a cheap * and appointing Lennon will be seen as a good thing as he knows the club and is a Celtic man.

I'm not sure we should be judging Lenny on today's result. If Brendan couldn't beat Hibs then what makes us treat anyone else differently?

After the excellent performance against Aberdeen in the Semi I feel maybe we're focusing on the negative more than the positive.
