Some great memories & crucial goals. He & Skippy were a terrific understanding. Then there is that moment mentioned above... That game will always be remembers for Naka's cracker & the stadium going absolutely berserk when JVOH nodded home.

even more impressive when you consider we played about 20 CL games in his time here and his 108 games probably includes many of them. I think he was a top quality player, better than BBJ, and but for the constant injuries and being always on the come back trail he would be a total legend. His injuries really took their toll. He was never speedy but he was far faster when he arrived but was like a snail by the time he was done.

Watched him come on as sub for Hull today- I think he is finished at the top!
But I still thank him for some memorable goals that he scored!
Plus I know he loved playing the Celtic tunes!:50:

Shame his legs went when they did, one of those guys that comes to the club and really embraces Celtic and everything it stands for.

I really liked Big Jan too.

The only criticism I would ever have of him is that he never did much at Ibrox. I thought he was a really good player though. Definitely one of Gordon Strachan's best signings imo.

Love the guy. I remember when he left, in a Mowbray interview, he said he spoke to Hartley and said he was letting him go, however he said he never spoke to Jan and just let him leave. Sad way to leave and im very disappointed in Mowbray for not even talking to him. Will never forget his last minute winner against the Huns. I was sitting about 5 seats from them and one of them tried to break through the security line to get to me I was winding them up so much!

I loved the big man. Ill always remember him for the goals he scored against the huns in my first old firm to win 2-1 then his league winning goal at tannadice on the last day of the season.

    All the best jan.

I also loved the big man. I think we miss his presence in the middle of the box something fierce.

I was a big fan of VOH during his time at Celtic. He gave us some truly special moments and had a nice habit of scoring important goals. Plus he comes over as a class act on and off the field. I will always have nothing but good memories of VOH's time in the hoops.
