My grandad adores the guy mate, it's beyond man love at this point :smiley-laughing002:

I'm not going to get into a debate about who was better between Henke and Jinky, as we could be here all night. Their respective achievements and honours tell a better story than we ever could.

However, he has told me more than once that he wants to be buried in his Celtic strip bearing 'Larsson 7' on the back. Bold statement indeed, and proof that some people truly live and die for Celtic.

Larsson. It really is a bit like love. I almost never use the "ignore" function, only done it twice and the first time was because some kid posted that Larsson wasn't world class.

Don't think Iniesta's Catalan, mate. Pretty sure he's from La Mancha.

I always remember when Henrik won the MOTM he would say ......................It's not about me it's about the team, this was usually after he practically won us the game single handed :icon_mrgreen:

It will be a long, long time until we see a player like him at celtic again, if we ever do.

It was a privilege to watch him play and very emotional to see him him leave. He could of left sooner, but he didn't. He stayed and became a legend.

Fair enough mate. Don't want to get into a debate either. Fair play to your grandad I'm sure he's a fine man. I'm a Jinky man your grandad's a Henrick man. But the main thing is we're both Celtic men. HH:50:

    I agree!
I remember texing my mate when he scored his second header v porto"The greatest * striker ever!!!"
lol and stone cold sober today i agree with that statement!
Everyone else has covered him so well here-he really did prove he can score in any league and against any team.
With him and Sutton and Hartson in the team i remember the feeling of never fearing any hun game or european game-we beat juventus ffs with a team of nedved, del peiro, trezeguet!
In work one day reading the papers with the lads there was a rangers boy"larsson-ah hate that *!some player though eh"-praise from a bitter hun!he knew they didn't have a player of that calibre when they had millions to spend!
We were ranked really high in uefa club weekly rankings at one point either 2002 or 03-we were 10 or 11 in that * and at that time only the biggest top spanish, german, english, italians i'd agree had better teams purely for defence-anways im blabbering here-european golden boot winner says it all!!

lol true but i think he was referring to when Henrik played here and it was sell out crowds every week even against * teams when he was here.

    I'm not picky.
Think I'd have a huge fight for second & third places for me to list my Top 3 favourite players of my lifetime, but without a shadow of a doubt the top one for me is Larsson. What can be said about the man that already hasn't? I think every superlative that can be used for the man already has been, and deservedly so. Gentleman and true professional to the game. There's so many good memories of him with us it would be impossible to even begin listing them.

    Absolute legend :notworthy

My first ever match which just happened to be my 15th birthday. We beat Aberdeen 4-0 back in 2003 and Henrik picked up a hat-trick with Sutton getting the other. I was sat on the very bottom row by a corner flag and for 2 of Henke's goals he celebrated right in front of me. Magic.

No Celtic player will ever come close to him for me. The greatest I've seen.
