Feeling more confident about this game now...3-1 just like we did against Spartak on their plastic pitch..:50:

I'm sure we drew both games against Spartak 1-1 and only got through on Penalties..

It was Dinamo Moscow who we beat 2-0 on their pitch in 2009.

Izzy should NOT be playing this game. He is by far a weak link for us defensively right now and we need a solid unit at the back. I would have him on the bench if we need to look start attacking more in the game. Ledley should be playing left back for this one.

That will free up a spot for wanyama and kayal and hopefully brown to sit in a protect the defence. Then let hooper sammy and commons try to find us a goal!

Izzy has not merited a start in this game. He has been poor in every game so far and will cost us with his over eagerness to hold onto the ball in dangerous positions.

He needs to find form like anyone else, nobody should be garaunteed a start just for what they have done in the past!

Izzy should start, we just need to make sure we fit him properly into the formation. Having enough balance in midfield to allow Joe Ledley to cover for him when need be.

It's not worth playing Mulgrew and Ledley out of position, if Izzy can't be trusted against HJK then it means why bother picking him for future European games? He deserves encouragement, support and to start against HJK. I wish him all the very best. :50:

This is not the time to be playing guys who are not performing. He is well behind the rest in terms his fitness and confidence. He will find his form no doubt, but for now IMO lennon should be considering leaving him out for this game! And I wasnt moving mulgrew out of position so not sure where that came from?

So Joe Ledley then? You want Joe Ledley to play left back against HJK Helsinki away from home in a vital Champions League qualifier?

Eh I am sure I made this clear in my initial statement. Joe ledley has been a rock anytime he has been played in that position. As I says it allows all three of Brown Wanyama and kayal to play and still give us an attacking threat from three attackers.

But this is only my opinion and I am pretty sure it wont be Lennons.

No he hasn't at Left Back Joe always stands a good 3 or 4 yards ahead of where he should be, making it very easy to get in behind him and with Broony probably out injured I have no idea why you would want to move Joe Ledley out of the midfield position.
