Mate, i * love commons and didn't say he wasn't good enough. If you read my post correctly you'll see that i said if he is played in the wide areas in CL then he doesn't have outstanding pace to trouble full backs. I much prefer him behind the striker drifting into good areas. He will be a major player for us in europe

He won't come here. Why would he leave a team in the Champions League when he would be ineligible to play in the competition for us?

I think we are more than covered on the wings but that is mmy opinion. we have alot of pace in McGeouch and Forrest on the right and creativity on the left.

Forget the wide areas in the CL I want a J V of H type player upfront to stick the nut on the ball......and maybe some players :smiley-laughing002:

dam right Commons is class, he might not have the pace of Forrest but he has brilliant movement, a great range of passing and he scores lots of goals.

i think he would be a good signing, our players like samaras and commons are players who arent going to be sold on for a profit!

we should be bringing in players who we can play will do a job for us and move on for money!
theres still the rest of the day to go, a striker and cb will come

This is another matter, i'm not too sure if he would be eligible. If not then it's a waste of time

    He can't play. It'll be a non-story.

Good player very quick feet and has got loads of pace, but he is very lazy! if he can't play in the champions league then there is no point

The more creative players we have the better. We'll need it.

And as for playing long balls and getting someone to head it and knockdowns etc. I dont really like that philosophy and would much prefer a player about 5'10 or 5'11 who still has pace but is strong and decent in the air. It is all to do with preference though is suppose

I'm sure they have tweaked the rules on elegibility. I'm sure it was mentioned on the champions league weekly programme a few months ago.

Actually think we do need another winger, would like this to happen but doubt it.

Out of all those Forrest is the only winger the rest are better in other positions, we do need another fast winger in the squad we missed Forrest badly in the first half of the Helsinborg away game, we need another player that can run with the ball and relieve pressure on the defence for european games.

You think Sammy's a better striker than he is a winger?

Think that was something to do with playing europa qualifiers and then playing in the champs league for someone else as they are different competitions. Could be wrong though.

We need to adopt that philosophy against the likes of barca or else we will be left hung out to dry.

Against Benfica and Spartak I think we can play our own game within reason but if all else fails we need a man that can get onto the end of a long punt up field which has proved very effective in the last 8-10 years.
