i dont deny that getting rid of WGS was a huge mistake in retrospect, but thats in the past and lets look at the now and the future. Lenny is one of the most passionate and determind players ever, and he must be pulling his hair out at the fact he cant seem to motivate the players to a fraction of how he was. He does show tactical ineptitude at times but he is a relatively new manager, and would have benefitted from having a more experienced mentor from the start but it seemed that board were happy to take him on, with finance being a big factor in the decision, and also the fact that he is a much loved celtic hero. Lenny will be under a lot of pressure now and its down to him to now prove he has what it takes to remain as our manager, if he isnt up to the challenge then he has to go, no doubt about it but it will be a sad day for me.

Probably an attempt to make it look like he's giving them a right telling off in the dressing room yet he'll pick the exact same players in the exact same system with the exact same tactics next time we play.

The relative attitude of fans to WGS and Lenny has been like a collective brainstorm. Fans think with their hearts. Our board were weak and listened to this when appointing Mogga and Lenny. Its hard nosed managers like WGS, Wim, MON, Wattie etc who win things. We need a grittled, grey old fox who knows only their opinion counts, is strong enough to not be pressured by fan 'from the heart opinion' etc.

 

Too many of our top players are injured,and it,s always longterm why the * is that?.always when we need them most they get injured.

 

Fans got brainwashed at them stupid road shows .

He was never the correct man for the job .

DD should have gone all out and gotten Mark Hughes.

 

Putting pen to paper on his resignation letter with any luck.

 

What annoys me so much about this is that it inevitabley gives the people who never * up about wanting Lennon to go more ammunition. So, so bad I want us to succeed under Neil Lennon, and he'll continue to get my full backing. This has NOTHING to do with "what if Martin O'Neill, what if Gordon Strachan was manager", they're in the past, forget about it, move on. That's what I loved so much about last season- we finally moved on from them, we were all fully behind Neil Lennon. Now all this talk comes up again. Come on Neil, prove them all wrong.

Lennon on BBC Scotland : We were the team in the ascendency we should have been 1 or 2 goals up at half time ????? Yes neil and pigs can fly Maybe the gullible fans we have will believe that but not the realistic fans.

 

Also, Stokes/Hooper forwardline is now a joke. They can't link up and both have poor attitudes. Stokes brought on with plenty of time to make an impact, and did nothing but mess up.

 

The board only got Mowbray because they couldnt match the ambition of Coyle or Martinez.

Our board thinks with their bank balance before anything else. They dont care about hard nosed managers. They want managers who are not going to demand anything of them.

Sadly Lennon has fallen into their trap.

 

every game we are having injuries,being in europe,lennon not addressing the defence properly and its looking like he cant seem to lift the players which is a big worry for me,we dont seem up for the fight when things dont go our way we have no settled defence,strikeforce etc and he has gift wrapped them the league so lennys jacket is on a very shaky peg now or it maybe on the floor totally sick

 

Ok then...

If Lenny gets sacked... what do we do?

Bring back MON and give him all the money the club has?

Bring back WGS?

Those are our only two options. What other manager would want to take a job like Celtic at this current time?

 

tynecastle is as hard a game as we get all season. ive seen us play much worse there and come away with the points.

What can Neil do ? Well starting to be being tactically aware would be helpful - I`ve said it before that we have better players than most if not all SPL teams- If they dont play then that`s the managers fault - also feel for Stokes who is increasingly being left out of the starting line and then brought on in later stages when we are behind / struggling . Wouldn`t blame the guy if he requests a transfer.
Hate posting so negatively but am just gutted at the moment.
