    I always felt he suffered (along with other DMs) by playing alongside Brown. Two deep sitting midfielders is just stupid at Celtic for 98% of games we play.

    Overal, Welsh is certainly ahead of Bitton. But for me, considering Starfelt is just in the door - it makes more sense for this one game, to play Bitton with Starfelt, for his maturity and understanding of the game (football overall) than Welsh at present.
    Next match I would expect it to be Starfelt and Welsh, once those two have a chance on the training ground to build up some sort of understanding.

    There will be no understanding between Starfelt and Bitton tonight either. Welsh is a better centre half than Bitton as well. That is the key thing here.

    Think that’s mental, Welsh has been the one holding our defence together, with different partners. He’s been the leader at the back and our best player in defence in general. Bitton has 2 sending offs in his last 10 appearances, 2 of our biggest games as well that. Experience tells us he’s a let down.
