Listen, don't get me wrong, I really want the guy to be as good as everyone says, but I'm not getting on a hype train yet. I'm not saying he's completely useless either though.

He's yet to put in a performance against a decent side. Admittedly, he hasn't had the chance against many, but if I remember correctly he went missing against Aberdeen, couldn't unlock Hearts in the first match at home and the manager is yet to trust him in a European tie. (I think he got the last 8 minutes against fenerbahce?)

He's also started, what, <10 games for Celtic? Almost all have been against lower SPFL sides and some of those have been average-poor performances which people tend to forget.

He's got a great opportunity now so if he's as good as you all say and he's going to be our first choice I would expect him to dominate a struggling Aberdeen side and give a huge performance against Molde, assuming he gets the game time. If he does that then let's see a Bitton-esque run of 10-15 good performances, racking up goals and assists, and I'll agree he's our first choice every time.

Edit for the bit in bold: Also, when I say Celtic quality I mean by the standards the club should be at, not based on what we have at the club presently. Good enough to get in our current team and good enough for Celtic are often two different things.

Just watched the highlights as working last night, It went pretty much as I thought it would. Again we struggle to break down a team that wants to sit in, we are far too predictable how we play and far too slow in attack . If it wasn't for the Thumb having a good last 20 minutes we could have easily have lost that game even though we dominated possession. As for the goal we lost at the end...just typical of this zonal marking. We have played this for a few seasons now and teams have learned how to play against it. But it is what it is and we are through to another semi final.

Is he not paid to score goals and win us games? Bringing on Rogic changed the game. We looked a much better team when he came on.

Rogic MUST permanently dislodge Johansen. It's clear he's fantastic, and Johansen is (this season) mince.

Deila's job could rest on this decision alone. Read him (justifiably) praising Griff, but Rogic's arrival changed the game.

I understand and agree with you there mate :50:

I think it would also be too early to write him off as not good enough as yet because as you say, he's not been given the opportunity yet.

hopefully rogic keeps up the performances as this is the best form he's showed us since signing, could play any of the 3 attacking mid positions but possible better in the amlr or old inside left/right where he can run at the defenders and pass back to the oncoming attackers, his power and determination is impressive, pity we havent another player like him really

Agreed. The key turning point in the game was when Rogic came on. Up till then while we dominated we did very little to actually threaten their goal. Rogic when he came on gave us a drive and threat in the final third that we lacked up till his arrival. As for Griffiths what can you say his goal was absolute top class and the strength he showed to set up Rogic for the winner was impressive.

Their centre half said he was disappointed we scored - and i doth quote - 'two sloppy goals'.

Must have been playing with his eyes closed, which is a little dangerous on the football field. Someone should have a word with him.

I'm up to world class now but Derek got a double arm fracture pressing the X bottom so he'll be out for a while
