He is nothing like Hartson or Sutton.

He has been getting tore into defenders in the SPL almost every game. If you think back to the game v Partick just gone by there, at one point, he chased back on to the right wing and hassled two/three of their players to winning the ball back.

That's the kind of attitude I want in a Celtic player, regardless of their position.

Nor has he got pace, a predatory instinct, or any creativity in his locker. The only thing he can seem to do is drop back 50 yards from goal and give the most simple of passes, not sure how that constitutes him working hard according to some. So many games just pass him by with him offering zilch.

How he scored goals in the Bundesliga I'll never know, I'd say Lassad looked more impressive at this stage.

If people had read the comments of a Finnish poster around the time Pukki signed for us, then they would know what his strengths were. Scoring instinct is not one of them. He's not a flop if you understand his role the right way. He could be, * willing, the new Ivica Olić.

I think he is a dud and to be honest I thought this about a month ago and haven't seen anything to change my opinion. Think is, I don't really blame the guy. We sold our best striker for a lot of money and replaced him with the cheapest acceptable option we could get from Schalke's bench. I thought at the time he sounded like he was probably 4th or 5th on Lennon's wish list, and Lennon pretty much said at the start of the season that the guys he was bringing in would struggle to get a game. I really didn't expect much and we really didn't get much.

That said, I would still give him games to the end of the season to turn things around and I think as long as players put in the effort they should be given a year to prove themselves at a new club. He may come good and I would love to be proven wrong. I just don't see it.

he's a gamble that has not quite worked out. If he has some quality in front of him then we can gauge where he lies on the land

mate he has a great shot on him! were just not seeing the best of him yet. you can tell he is good on the ball. very good at turning players ive noticed. if we get a natural goal scorer, we'll be flying ! need to remember that he could hardly get a game for his old club because they played a 4-5-1 and that striker they had was amazing. canny mind his name though. in a nut shell, hes not had alot of game time in years if you think about it. give him a bit of time. the quality is there, just need to utilize it.

Pukki shows how hard it is for Celtic to sign real quality strikers.
Quality strikers won't touch Scottish Football with a barge pole .
They know they will be snapped up by more wealthier clubs in
some of the richer leagues . We are going to have to create a
    striker from raw materials .

A striker even in our crappy league has to be instant. You need to spot one and bring him on
