i would take him because he would generete lots of money with strips in australia because the media are alway on about him and follow his every move he would be like a australian naka in terms of getting more fans and money through oz.

In Australia, Harry Kewell is the biggest name, far more than McDonald. Ozzies still dont really know of Skippy until he does something spectacular with their national side but I still wouldnt have him. Anything outside the EPL usually falls off the radar with them.

 

Obviously I didn't think McDonald would be the Australian Nakamura, I just wasn't sure to what extent did the Aussies follow Kewell. He may as well be their idol, they only get to see him play a couple of times a season so when they do they've got to make the most of it.

 

kewell is the only football player who make the news over here and even rugby fans know him which is saying a lot. All the young boys here have kewell on the back of there shirts back here and he is alway on the cover of australian football mags here infact i heve never read a football mag here without a piece on him

 

if we were signing an aussie i'd want bresciano, best aussie player IMO and would fit in well at parkhead

kewell ffs! NO. another message to the world that celtic is the last port of call for players. hes just hasnt been great since leeds days and will be 30 odd.

 

he is past it. he cant get a game for liverpool because his crossing ability seems to have been lost along the road to recovery and his positional sense went before that. his days as a winger are over. my liverpool supporting pal told me that he played well for the reserves as a striker though and has played there for the aussies behind viduka.

Harry makes the news big time over here, he's loved by all the young kids coz he plays for LFC and his repuation built whilst at leeds was also well knownover here. Any self respecting TV sports highlight compilation from circa 2001 had Harrys long range goal against Villa in there! He's a massive star over here, by far our biggest football star but cahill and brescia will take care of that in the next cuppla years

Harry signing for Celtic would result in heaps of jerseys being sold but let's not foget HK got injured AGAIN in training a day or two ago in China, and yerp, it's another groin injury - . He deffo is "the tampon" player -

He's a great player who would sell lotsa celtic strips in Oz and reward the club financially in the short term but with such a fragile body and not many miles left on the clock, you'd have to question the value long term and also question the thinking behind it.

Your joking right? Honestly he is pish. I would much rather Kewell than him. Atleast he has some talent, even if he is always injured. The only time you ever hear McDonald's name is when he scores for us and even then they dont even show it. Kewell in Australia is like the Beckham of England.

 

Kewell is overated and i wouldn't thank Strachan for signing a player like him
