Course he can, he’s a good goalscorer but he isn’t at the level of a Suarez and never will be.

He’s also a member of the team that finished 2nd in the league, he has a load of class team mates.

On reflection, it's not the best comparison, but the point is that being a prolific goal scorer is only one facet of being a world class striker.

I just think that Kane, whilst being a great striker isn't as good as the hype that surrounds him. I do think a lot of the hype is because of the fact he's English and plays for England. If he opted to play for Ireland I don't think there would be such hype.

He's not been that great for England either, mainly because he's coached differently and surrounded by *
He will probably go down as one of those great strikers who didn't win a lot in his career unless he leaves Spurs

Do you think he's better than Robbie Keane in his prime mate?

I didn't really pay a lot to attention to Robbie Keane's career tbh I just remember him at Liverpool then back to Spurs

Superb finisher, his shooting technique is incredible. Also has the all round game to match. Has to really prove himself in the Champions League this season to be truly classed in the elite bracket though.

Feel Icardi is quite an underrated striker.

Hard to say how good he is really, he is a good goalscorer and his allround game is ok but would he be as good if he played for Juventus or Dortmund or Atletico Madrid or is he just suited to English football it's hard to say.

As there's players in other Leagues who have been good goalscorers like Soldado, Aduriz, Pizarro, Di Natale, Montella, Gilardino, Dzeko, Makaay, Elber and guys like that who were or are good scorers in certain Leagues but were never really world class players or capable of playing for the top teams in Europe.

Icardi definitely is underrated. As is Dries Mertens, albeit he is a winger who now plays as a striker for Napoli.

That's it in a nutshell. One of the best strikers in England right now but to be given the 'world class' title, he needs to demonstrate his ability in the CL more regularly. He's actually got a good record in it, just needs to keep doing my more of the same.

His story is unbelievable how he was turned into a striker late in his career.

The goals he’s scoring are out of this world.

I know. Shame it's taken so long for him to find his position, so to speak.

Pretty sure Makaay scored a fair few at Bayern.

I think he could slot into Higuain's role and do a job, defos. At.Madrid, he could do a better job than Torres done last season. Both of them aren't at their best this season.

Reckon Germany would suit him if he ever moved on, players like that thrive over there. Klose, Grafite, Dzeko, Pizzaro, Lewandowski, Toni, Gomez, Huntelaar, Kiebling are all in that sort of mould, albeit some more target men. All 6'1+ not the quickest finishers who are useful in the air.

Spurs seems to suit him well, everything revolves around getting the ball into Kane. Hard to see how he would get on at another big European club, outwith England. The boys a finisher though, one of the best around.

Not gonna lie, I personally think anyone who thinks Kane is * or isn't in the top 10 strikers in the world is full of * and just bias towards him, guy is an ugly * who can't say the alphabet properly but he is a brilliant finisher who scores different types of goals, has brilliant movement and hold up play.

Anyone who bags at the rate he does is a very good player

Hes very good. Hes no saurez yet, but hes clinical as *. He should move team though. Tottenham is going no where. That stadium will hinder spending and wages.

He can finish extremely well, which is his job. He's not a great all round footballer though so the world class tag is a bit underserved. Very effective player, who can link up and get assists now and again too but his general play isn't great imo.

I don't agree. The English media are biased towards English players but Kane deserves the recognition for being prolific and he would be applauded regardless of nationality

There's whole lot of in-between when it comes to being *, which he clearly isn't, and being one of the 10 best strikers in the world, which imo is debatable. He's done it domestically for a while now, but I want to see a little bit more of the same in the CL before I would say he's definitely world class. I actually think he'll do just that, but I would hold off just now. There's also the matter of Euro 2016 in which he was extremely poor. I don't think he absolutely needs a few goals in a major tournament to be world class, but it would help his case.
