i hope BR reads our posts because there are some really smart fans on here who can read the game and see the obvious problems we have team wise. Pressure last night on a 30 million pound one off game must have been immense for our players hence the celebrations at the end.we will play without fear now that we are there and no pressure at all . getting there is our final everything else is a bonus.HH having a party in the champions league.LURKERS lol

We will need to improve drastically on last night, and I think Rodgers and the players will know that. We are in the groups though, and ultimately that's all that really matters. In the players defence, I think we looked out on our feet second half, which is understandable with the number of games we have played recently, and the travelling on top of that.

The game itself was horrible viewing. We struggled all night to retain possession, and Dembele's effort aside we never threatened. The first half we got into a couple of decent positions but they never came to anything, the second half was just backs to the wall. I've praised Rodgers in previous games for his subs and tactics, but I felt he got it wrong at half time. When Rogic come on for Forrest, I couldn't work out what our shape was at all. In the first half you could see pretty clearly what our tactics were and who was playing where, I'm still not sure what we were trying to do for most of the second half. Having said that, I think Rodgers did get it right when we went to a back three. I thought we looked far more comfortable.

It was never going to be easy because it never is with us, but we made it, and the performance will be quickly forgotten about now. We faced two very difficult qualifiers in Astana and Be'er Sheva, and there is no way that we would have gotten past both them last season in my opinion.

This game aged me more than possibly any other Celtic game I've watched in the past ten years.

I include several derbies in that.

Last night was the best night out I have had in ages, suffering today though. Was a terrible performance but give Hapoel credit they went for it and certainly are no mugs. I have to say though barring a calamitous 2nd goal we probably would have played out a poor 1-0 defeat. Gordons time must be up, Janko needs replaced and a central midfielder is a priority. But we have got there, got the big money needed for better signings and have some huge games ahead plus 4 derbies against sevco. For a prespective player now we should look attractive.

Edge of the seat stuff. Honestlythought dembelle had scored when he brought it in from the wng and it narrowly whizzed by the post. One of those shots that looed closer and closer after every replay.

We are throughand a good lesson for rodgers to learn but for now we can relax and look forwardto the draw. Thought the back 3 was fantastic and really changed the game when eric was brought on. Looking like a good tactic for away games in europe

Waking up in the champions league !!!!!!!

I still don't feel good after watching that. Like I have had food poisoning or something. Light headed.

We were so, so poor... yet we won!
Incredible. Brendan has a magic hat, for sure.

Nah. After following The Bhoys for a little over 50 years you get numbed by nights like that.......but the morning still feels brilliant. Feels like we've just won the CL rather than qualified for the Groups.

The buzz of looking at the champions league draw is amazing. The last two years have been spent looking at whether we would rather fc Astra or molde from pot 4 and it depressed me so much. Now I get to decide whether I would rather play Barca or Real Madrid.

Cried a little, think the emotion that built up during the game joint with the relief got too much for me and it all came out :56:

Looking forward to a relaxing night watching our potential CL opponents - playing about with the BT Sports alternate angles on their fancy web player - life gets no better than this

Really need to improve defensively but my worry is we won't. Rodgers at Liverpool struggled defensively and it looks like the same here.

Need to get rid of a few obvious ones and get some in. Scott Bain at Dundee to replace Gordon?

    * ref was * poor last night. Leaving aside the penalty that was free kick, he gave to fouls against Erik and Toure for winning clean headers. On the Toure one, Toure jumps up and the forward just walks backwards into him. Quite clearly a foul by the Hapoel forward, yet they got a free kick and to pile more pressure on. Also on one of the rare free kicks we got, the Hapoel guy stood about 2 yards away and yet he's telling our players to hurry up.

Wasn't impressed with him at all last night.

Problem is Rodgers sets his team up in a way that exposes the defence and unfortunately unless you're Barca Real Madrid or Bayern you don't have the personnel at the back to cope with that system against good sides. I think he'll go for the set up we had in the last 20 minutes especially away from home as Hapoel didn't look like scoring when Sviatchenko came on.
