Ahh right. So why didn’t we sign more EPL players in the summer then? We signed one, and it was only because we had loads of centre halfs out that we even brought Phillips in. So if Rodgers does have a hardon for EPL players, does that mean the signings so far haven’t been his? Given that the only one we have signed was a desperate loan to cover injuries.

Hyping a player up is repeatedly calling them "fine" apparently.

I think he's not been bad enough to warrant being behind Nat Phillips in the pecking order, or repeatedly left out of squads. Or dropped from squads after scoring a winner in the CL. I also don't think he's been bad enough to warrant people calling him * or dross. Because he clearly isn't.

I don't think he's our sort of player, and he should be allowed to go and play regular first team football, and not be kept as a 4th choice CB when it's clear as day that Rodgers doesn't fancy him. It yet again shows up our recruitment team for what it is, a * joke.

And I also think that calling him out for saying he was looking forward to playing football, in a much superior league, is pathetic.

You said he has a hardon for EPL players. I’m assuming you mean in general and not specifically Phillips with that statement though? So why hasn’t there been any signed permanently from the EPL? Why has the only one so far been an emergency loan and he is away back after the 6 month stint?

Tbh Rodgers has been weird as * with his selections. Playing a loanee over Lagerbielke for a start, starting Welsh over Nawrocki & lagerbielke against the huns and Feyenoord and then having to take him off. Not playing Bernardo much in domestic games but starting in the champions league.

    * know if he has a point to prove or not but it’s utterly bizarre. If i was lagerbielke i’d be * off.

    What a riddy

Literally 12 hours ago the guy was deemed surplus to requirements now all of a sudden he's deemed to be back in the fold.

No wonder he's trying to force it

It's pathetic to give that interview knowing deal was dead or as I originally said * brainless.

We can't allow him to go and leave us with only 3 cbs for however long CCV is gonna be out for. It's basic common sense

Yep, this is essentially my point.

Either he's good enough or he's not. We're not all of a sudden going to be desperate to keep Tilio if Palma gets injured.

Why would have given the green light for the move in the first place if we're deemed to be so short in that position. What would we have done had CCV got injured at the weekend ?

Why is it common sense? Why does it not make more sense to let a guy, who evidently the manager does not think is good enough, go on loan... and then get someone else in for cover? Or how about this, actually use the academy for once and give a young defender the opportunity to be our 4th choice centre back...who will probably only get 100 minutes of game time in the next 4 or 5 months anyway.

Again, either Lagerbielke is good enough to play a part for us or he isn't. Clearly Rodgers doesn't think he is or he would never had allowed him to go on loan in the first place.

You really think our recruitment team will bother their * finding a replacement in 48hrs.
Our academy team are pish and are struggling in Scottish 5 tier so I think from Rodgers point of view he'd rather have a Swedish international than some kid from. The academy or trust the recruitment team.

It's called playing the hand ur dealt, does he rate Lagerbielke? Nah, probably not but given we now only have 3 other fit CBs for * knows how long it's common sense to cover our *. Essentially Lagerbielke is the least * option for 4th choice Cb.

We dont need 5 cbs and that's why he was being allowed to go. We now don't have 5 so he's not going so the big * will need to dry his eyes and get on with it. He can get his dream move in the summer when he will be surplus to requirements again

Also btw the fact CCV has literally just came back from injury how naive is it to assume we can let another CB go out the door on the assumption if we pick up 1 injury at CB it's panic stations

It's abysmal from the club in every sense. If the manager doesn't rate him, punt him and play someone else. It's really that easy.

Anyway, pointless this. Going round in circles. Hope he gets his move.

Aye * it let's hope he gets his move, then scales gets sent off and Nawrocki gets injured and you can come back on here next week and moan about how Welsh is only centre half we have available for Easter road.

Welsh and Nawrocki have also missed large chunks of the season too. So essentially 3 out of the 4 all have potential question marks over their fitness

You're making my point for me even further if we are deemed to be fragile at the back in terms of numbers why would we have ever agreed to letting him go ?

You have literally said above about getting a red and/or an injury that could have all happened this weekend and Lagerbielke would be turning out for Leece. It's pish from the club whichever way you look at it. It's shocking to agree to let him go if 1 injury/suspension means we need him back

Yeah it's one of thode damned if you do damned if you don't situations. Maybe they felt 4 cbs plus Iwata (wherever he * is) was enough cover I dunno but given the way our luck is going we shouldnt have bothered bcoz another injury to a cb was probably inevitable the moment he left.

Rodgers complained about our squad being too large the last time he was here too but the fact is we play so many games a season we always pick up injuries and altho he may feel 30 players is too much we are never far away from an injury crisis somewhere so players that should have been moved on or put out on loan end up staying to cover injuries

It's a mess. Rodgers should have looked at him in the summer and blocked the transfer if he didn't want him. We don't need him now... oh *, CCV might be in trouble - let's cancel the move.
