    I couldn't get the reasoning if a striker who isn't scoring was picked in front of a striker who is scoring.

    It would be a kick in the baws to thumb if he didn't get a chance for some European thumb action.

    nothing matters other than the team . name on the front of the shirt means everything , name on the back means nothing . I want the man playing that will be the most effective on the night .

    form is temporary , guidetti has been very unlucky lately .

    How could anyone justify Guidette starting? It would be the same as leaving Griffiths out for the non scoring (or non playing) Scep. If Scep was our main CF and he was not scoring in the same way as Guidette was not scoring would there be the same clamour for him to play? Guidette on current form does not deserve to start as simple as that. It's strange but similar to the people that think Ambrose is worth a jersey because they have some sort of affinity with him, bizarre.

    Guidetti will hold the ball up and make it stick . griffiths is very poor at retaining possesion imo . Guidetti also gives us that extra bit of physical presence .

    I get the feeling , with the way Ronny sets us up, that the striker scoring isnt the priority. He is often just a foil for the three attacking midfielders , who seem to get alot of the chances.

    Talk of Guidetti being the big game player but I think in his own career Griff has proven he is a player who stands up when needed in the big games for whichever club hes been at. Cup finals, Edinburgh derby and glasgow derby spring to mind.

    Got to be the Griff!

    Good to see the majority of people on this forum are mentally capable and see that Griffiths should start.

    1:hes our player.
    2:he wants to be here.
    3:hes scoring goals.
    4:hes fitter and will constantly be a threat to a make shift Inter defence.
