Lawwell will have to look elsewhere then if Ronny walks.

Honestly thought he would have went for United.
They seem a more traditional big club, like Bayern and Barcelona.

None of this money made guff like Chelsea or city.

Oh well, love the guy, but will struggle to hope he does well at city.

Hope he does well, Verratti and Griezmann would be outstanding buys. They badly need central midfielders though. Goo footballers, who can pass, a great first touch and can control games. So that probably rules out anything they have

Bayern will fight him tooth and nail for him. He'd be expensive.

Guess it depends on what Ancelloti has to say. But it's interesting, Pep has quite a bit of time left there to try and talk players into going with him.

Kingsley Coman looks like he could be some player.

Wonder where Pellegrini will go. He's probably best back in Spain.

Should mean that Manchester City are good to watch next season.

That looks like a Champions League team. Very attack minded too, pure Pep. I like Koke and Thiago behind the strikers. Not a bad front 3, clever enough to play interchanging attacks. How much would that cost City?

What about Alaba as a full back?

Has Pogba agreed to sign with anyone yet?

    And Man Utd won't :smiley-laughing002:

    This is interesting.

He literally has an endless budget I'd imagine. Would like to see them go for Pogba, Boateng and Reus.

Wonder who he'll get rid of, I think Fernandinho could do ok as a back-up for the holding role. Bony has no future for sure, Mangala is a big diddy he'll probably punt him definitely not got the class on the ball to play under Guardiola. Toure is past it physically he'll not be an option for sitting in midfielder and he's not really got the legs for the centre-mid either, he might get moved on. He'll probably keep one each of Sagna/Zabaleta and Kolarov/Clichy as back-up but I think he'll want 2 new full-backs. Navas i'd imagine will be moved on.

Up front he'll want another goalscorer/world class player.

Going to be good to see how it develops and who he signs, also be interesting to see how a Guardiola team would do in the English League if they can dominate games as easy as they did in Spain and Germany.

I'd like to see something like

    Coleman > Sanga
    Hummels > Mangala
    Pogba > Toure
    Thiago > Fernando
    Reus > Navas
    Griezmann > Bony

Would cost about £240million though could probably get about £30/40million back on those players leaving and the wagebill might not change too much.

    Looking forward to this TBH.

As artificial and contrived as it is, I don't think anyone is going to deny it's an exciting and interesting prospect to see his style of play married with untold wealth.

Yes, given that Mancini and Pellegrini won the league and a cup each, lets see if he can better that!

    :50:

Big money is creating an elite group and overall it's bad for the game but can't deny it's very interesting that we'll see another team to compete with Madrid, Barca, Bayern and PSG.

Anyone who's ever played Fantasy Football has always thought about the unlimited budget :smiley-laughing002:

    Messi, Suarez, Neymar, £450
    Iniesta Pogba £100
    Busquets Thiago £100
    Tierney Boetang Godin Alaba £130

    £780m

Hope they're in the right positions

I think it'll be his first failure imo. You can see utd have spent nothing this window leaving a massive budget for a total overhaul with a new manager in the summer (mourinho?) Going to be an exciting season.
Along with the new increased tv deal kicking in the budget for most of England will be huge. Going to be the most crazy transfer summer yet.

That's £240 LVG should probably have spent. Thiago and Pogba the two most expensive are £60m+ ? Griezmann must be £35+? Coleman must be the cheapest £25+?

I have no idea how much the German players would costs. Hummels last rumoured to be £40m.

I think Navas should go back to Spain. He was much better.

For me he has to win the CL this year. Rummenigge and the Bayern directors expected that he would win it, but at Bayern so far he's not done it and he took over the season after Heynckes won the treble.

Man Utd squad is dire in compairson to City though. They are already miles behind. City only need like 3 world class additions to be on the coattails of Bayern/Barca/Real. Man U need 3 world class players just to get close to Man City as they are the now.

It'll be hard for Man U to attract players too, especially if Mourinho is the one who ends up there as a lot of people probably don't like him or want to play for him, so if they have the option of joining City with the likes of Kompany, Toure, Silva, De Bruyne, Sterling, Aguero and Guardiola or Man U with Mourinho with a bunch of diddies and De Gea then probably every player would knock back Man U for City.

Man U for me don't have a single outfield player who should really be getting a game for them, massive work needing done there.
