Agreed...but at the time he was a "bigger" man than Lennon in the eyes of the board.

Lennon needs to get some mettle about him.

    You're missing my point.

As the "new boy" I don't think he'll want to be treading on anyones toes (the board)

As you say he has handled his personal problems admirably.

i know wot your sayin bud ,though he dont strike me as that type,i dont think he would look on them as any better than him or hold back his thoughts and feelings, maybe his inexperiance would cauz him to tread carefully i guess.

We can close this one now. It's in the Belgian papers this morning, he passed his medicals yesterday and signed last night. He will be presented today. Transfer fee : 1.6M euros (£1.4M). Case closed

I'm sure i read some where Genk had already agreed a price with his team and Celtic where led up the garden path by his present team.My making on this that they were using us as a bargaining tool for more money.

If we had offered the asking price and met his personal demands we would have signed him. Its as simple as that.

If we are going to go in and haggle with clubs and another club comes in that meets what they want, then we are going to lose out.

Its at the stage now where we have to bite the bullet and pay what they want, if we feel the player is who we need. We cant keep * around like this. Especially when we are talking a few 100k or so.

Just read on twitter that Cudicini is to have talks on Monday. Still not seen a proper source for it but hey ho. Here's hoping...

    ?

great keeper at his peak and showed towards the end of last season that he can still do a job...that's the sorta experience we need in goals going into europe in my opinion

i wouldn't say so but obviously lennon didn't fancy pletikosa and i think cudicini looked good last season in the games he played.

he might not be the best choice but he's gotta be better than an inconsistent zaluska or foster who i seen we're linked with again.

like i said, there are obviously better keepers out there but in europe and against the huns i think his experience would be invaluable in organising the defence...another bonus would be we could get majstorovic out the team as i think he's only in there cos he organises the back 4 reasonably well

Normally, Sandomierski will be presented today before Genk's home game.
He would sign a 5 year contract.
