If the didn't want pletikosa for free then pay the * money for the keeper they do want. Getting a bit pee'd off with this type of shenanigans year in year out.

It seems to take years to get a player for a position. It took forever to get a leftback.

 

As said, we really are cheap *. It's actually embarrassing

 

His agent was on Sportsound saying the player has already agreed terms with Celtic and if they can agree a fee with his club he would expect him to sign with Celtic despite Genk and 2 Premiership clubs being interested in him...come Celtic get it done.

 

Get the fee * paid Celtic and get the lad in ffs stop dicking around should have been * sorted before the season had even kicked off so he was here for pre season and so on .

 

Like some of the other posters, I don't want to get excited at this stage, but I really hope we get him!

 

Can't get my head around this

Lenny has already made it clear that we need a keeper so it's not like he is happy with the goal keeping situation and this is a luxury signing. It will be frustrating to put it politely if we don't get this sorted asap. I really don't fancy letting the window slam shut with Zaluska between the sticks. It's not like Celtic can even say they are happy with him given they got Forster in last season as they had no confidence in him being a 1st team starter.

No one can argue that Peter Lawell tries his best financially for Celtic. However sometimes you have to accept that being too shrewd is not going to get you what you want. The scouts can identify players, but the board need to understand that sometimes the price is exactly that, the price.

 

is this guy all he is cracked up to be? or are people just desperate for us to spend money on a goalie?

 

Excellent young keeper as you can see with the sides that have scouted him in the past if he improves could be worth 4or5 times what he will cost us.

 

good point, he could be worse than zaluksa for all we know, youtube videos arent a valid case for a player

 

he has the potential to be better than Boruc in my opinion. he is all ready a fantastic keeper, but needs to iron out a few flaws. His re-sale value will also be massive, as this is what the board will be most interested in :bbpd:

 

My guess would be that not one person on this forum has ever seen him play.

Celtic are “very, very far away” from meeting Jagiellonia Bialystok’s valuation of Grzegorz Sandomierski, having had a second transfer bid rejected on Monday.

STV has learned Neil Lennon’s side have again fallen short in the Polish club’s valuation of the goalkeeper, which is understood to stand at £2 million. It is also understood Celtic are currently giving consideration over whether to return with a third offer.

The international keeper was subject to an initial bid from Celtic last week and the SPL side remain in discussions with Jagiellonia, while Belgian side Genk are also keen to sign the 21-year-old.

Jagiellonia’s president Cezary Kulesza said on Monday that the Glasgow side were still falling short of that valuation in their offers, a statement confirmed by the Polish club to STV.

"Celtic's offer are very, very far away from meeting our valuation," a spokesperson said. "They will have to bid significantly more to sign the player.
"Celtic sent a second offer today [Monday] which was rejected. The first offer we received was on either Tuesday or Wednesday last week." STV understands that Celtic's first offer was less than the £650,000 quoted by the Polish media last week.

Speaking on Monday, Sandomierski’s agent, Radoslaw Osuch, told STV his client is eager to move to Celtic and the goalkeeper is ready to fly to Scotland as soon as they match his club’s asking price.

“Celtic are closer with their new offer but it is still not good enough for Jagiellonia Bialystok,” Osuch told STV. “Jagiellonia definitely want to sell him and it's just about who comes in with the best offer.”

“I know the people of Celtic very well and I know Grzegorz likes the club. He shares my positive feelings.

“As soon as Celtic match the £2 million asking price, we will be on our way to Scotland. I hope everything turns out well and I feel Celtic want him very much.

“Genk are bidding more so they have a chance as well

 

if thats the case? then why the * dont we just * give them the transfer fee they want???

I swear if we dont get this guy for the 2 million quoted i will be very * off, srsly we need to spend money of some players our total so far is 1 million

 

Why are Celtic being so stingy? Ffs, if your competing against a team that if willing to pay 2m then your not going to get the player unless you pay that price. Stop wasting time and sign him up. Cant believe Celtic are trying to save a few hundred k, is this how small a club we are now? cant pay 2m for a player we really need? fs

How can we not offer £2million? It's petty. If we would pay that for Forster then why not a full international and a player who Lennon and Woods obviously highly rate?
