Even defensively he's ghastly, twice big long balls up the park and he's running not even looking the right way and both times the striker gets in front of him.

As I said at the time, * knows what they were looking at with Killie and even Scotland.

Genuine question, did he complete a forward pass or dribble past a man on any occasion tonight?

He’s simply not good enough. The amount of attacks that grind to a halt when he’s in possession is frightening. So often we shift it quickly, isolate him wide in a one v one situation and then he’s incapable of progressing the attack. So frustrating to watch and a huge part of our current issues offensively.

He always looks as though he's just carried the shopping up 12 flights.

In answer to your question no, not once.

He was also poor going the other way most of the night against their winger. He really is miles out of his depth.

Boy's a good option in a 4-4-2 or any other formation where he has someone directly in front of him. Give him a LWB role, and he's out of his depth. Still pacey, still defensively good, and still with a decent cross on him sometimes, so he's a decent back up, but we definitely need a more natural, attacking (but still defensively sound) LWB bought in.

Some folk do need to get real about the level Taylor is actually at though - some of the criticism is way ott.

This guy is woeful and I honestly hate saying that about our own players.

He cannot play the wing back role at all. His inability to play forward is infuriating. - A pass inside is the best you can expect otherwise he's going back towards our goal again.

Get him to *, honestly. Don't know how folk can defend him tbh.

He's a decent player. Changing where he plays is obviously going to affect him. Much more suited to a back 4 than playing LWB.

I’m just concerned that someone at the club thought that him or Boli would be suitable replacements for KT.
    * embarrassing.

Pretty sure no one at Celtic was looking for a replacement for a once in a generation player. That's a dead end. I do understand why that is appealing.

Bolingoli was a poor attempt but I actually think Taylor has a lot of potential.

He has a lot of potential for Aberdeen or Hibs or Huddersfield. Not Celtic.

It's not Taylor's fault that he is in the team. The problem sits with the management team. I'm more concerned with the person(s) who select him to start.

He can do a job as a left back in a back 4, but as a back up. He is not a wing back by any stretch of the imagination, he just lacks pace to be a threat which is ashame because he can put some deadly balls into the box.

I know people say it patronisingly about players who clearly have no place at the club, but he provides reasonable cover. He has room for improvement too.

Bolingoli was seemingly supposed to be our first-choice left-back, but he is nowhere near good enough. (Taylor is unimaginative; Bolingoli is calamitous. I know which one I prefer.)

I am sure that we will change systems at some point, and Taylor might prove useful then, but he is unsuited to the current system, and we need a better option in any case.

Another player taking pelters on here everytime he plays. I felt sorry for him in the 2nd half as our long passing was way off from Duffy and Christie in particular when Taylor was in good positions.

Delivered the one good cross for McGregor in the 2nd half and should try and take his man on more often. He's not near Tierney's level but not many in the world are!

Depends how you define ‘pacey’. He’s quick for a defensive left-back. He’s no Tierney, and he doesn’t overlap or take chances to run at his man as we’d all like to see him do, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t have any pace.
