He's an honest pro but never Celtic class.

I was hoping he would have kicked on by now but hes been the weak link multiple times. Get another LB in.

The one McGregor played up the wing and he was slower than a week in the jail.

Tbh I can't even see on what form we signed him, but even seeing him more has me worried who spotted him. Was always worried about him and the Killie RB we were linked with.

One of the worst left backs in recent memory, awful!

Can't fault his effort but he's just not good enough. It's as simple as that. Anyone who argues about that I really wonder what they are watching.

It is astonishing that he is our first choice left back at present.

If you have a player that's clearly out of his depth, then the onus is on the manager to get a better player in the door.

He’s effectively the opposite of a modern day full-back.

His only really use is going to be crossing from deep, and providing defensive cover with the other two centre-backs when we play 4 at the back with Frimpong in it.

Not good enough. He does the same thing every single time. Run up the left, stop, run back again.

I swear watching him in isolation makes me think Gordon Strachan is still our manager.

There was a point in the first half where he actually tried to dribble past their 17 year old fullback and got outpaced and out muscled with the ball taken off him like a piece of candy from a baby.

He's nowhere near good enough to be first choice LB

Disagree- defensive specialist full backs are very important if we get into Champions League.

Would hardly call him a defensive specialist either mate, he'd get run ragged in the CL

I think Taylor needs more time and I wouldn't write him off yet. He's a decent footballer and a good defender. He's still adapting to being on the front-foot so much I reckon. We definetly need 2 options for LB. We had 3 last season. I liked the look of Robson, the Utd LB.

Connell no doubt has a good left peg and some dig about him. But he'll have the same issues beating a man etc as Taylor does, don't you think?

Connell isn’t the quickest either but has much more about him than Taylor in my opinion.

From what I have seen of him he is always looking to play the ball forward and has the ability to play some great passes. He looks decent on the ball. I definitely think he could do a job there until we get someone else in.

He would contribute far more to our play than Taylor does as he is always looking to make forward passes and make something happen. I think he would he able to beat a man through his sheer determination and positivity alone.

Taylor just takes the easy option far too often and when he does attempt a dribble it is rarely successful. That 17 year old for Dundee Utd to be fair to him was solid but Taylor got no change out of him at all.

Going from peak Izzy and then KT to Boli and Taylor is a sad state of affairs. We really need a new left back in this window, especially if we are wanting to play a back 3. Taylor is a decent pro but he is nowhere near good enough for us. Rarely beats his man and always looks vulnerable when a wingers is running at him.
