Imagine what that must have felt like walking up the tunnel to play for Celtic with your new born kid. I’d have gave my left nut to have had that opportunity. He was excellent today.

I think I would be keeping Taylor now because he is a very intelligent football player, a born leader, and he keeps our midfield far more balanced in the inverted full back role, and he would be our insurance policy if Tierney were to break down.

I don’t think it’s a coincidence the best our midfield has functioned in a while, with Hatate and Engels in particular having stormers of a game is with Taylor coming in from Lb as an ad hoc midfielder.

He makes so much space for them, keeps the pace of the game fluid. Always in the right position to form triangles.

Another LB we’ve signed he’s come out on top of?
Think that’s Bolingoli, Laxalt, Bernabei, Valle and now possibly Schlupp.
Ok they’re not world beaters but shows he’s a very solid back up option and at 27 only going to get better. Never thought I’d be saying this a few seasons ago but pretty gutted he’s off tbh. Seems a good man in the dressing room and adds to the Scottish quota needed for Europe.

Superb performance today and what a way to mark what must have been an incredibly emotional and proud day for him.

Not a fan of his but he played well today.

Can just imagine Roy Keane's reaction to him walking out for a game carrying a baby but must have been an incredible moment for him and definitely one that I think adds more weight to him leaving.

It does seem a strange time to uproot with a newborn, especially if it was to somewhere like Zagreb but maybe that's just me

That’s absolutely class brining the wee one on with him, shows he’s a Celtic man now no doubt.

Been excellent for us, don’t care what anyone says.

Fully deserving of his MOTM today. Whatever his physical limitations, no questioning that he’s a very intelligent footballer and perfectly suited to that inverted role.

It’s a funny one because Schlupp looked the far better option in Europe, yet domestically when you’re dominating and there’s less of an emphasis on defending transitions, it’s like having an extra creative midfielder who opens space and pulls defenders out of position.

Never ever understood the hatred for him

He not the greatest but if he was he'd have been away years ago and there's definitely a role in the team/squad for him

The thing about Taylor is yes he does have glaring weaknesses, just down to his physical traits. Small, not the quickest, not really strong. And when that is exposed it is so exposed. He deals with that by being a sneaky wee * and great positioning 90% of the time but when he’s up against pace power and skill he can’t make up the difference, and it’s something that can majorly stand out.

On the flipside though, his positives and what he does a lot of the time you either need to be paying a lot of attention to him or be at the game where a lot of off the ball stuff, covering and quiet competent play to make others around him better is more obvious. And at that, he is actually very good at. He supports everyone around him on the wing and in the middle, he makes room for others, he takes the ball under pressure, he moves it quick, he gives everyone around him and option and more freedom.

Don't read this much recently but just to say he'll be missed when he's gone. Been excellent for Celtic.

Was fantastic today. Like Schlupp a lot, and Tierney will be brilliant when he'll be available.

So long as Taylor doesn't go to huns, he'll always be welcome here in my book

Just cannot be done with that baby carry on, where is it going to end?
Going into battle, as Roy would say.

He's good when there's no defending to be done, as he gives us that extra body in midfield as well to help alongside McGregor. Like a few of our players, he's good enough at home against SPFL dross but in the tougher games he can struggle. Small pitches, CL and smaller pitches with players in your face quicker ...

Hope whatever move he has lined up works out for him and he gets a good send off in his last appearance.
