If you think calling out a guy for a bad habit of spitting the dummy, acting the dobber towards his team-mates while simultaneously literally letting the side down, is a ‘character assassination’ then you have very strange standards, imo.

I do a bit of charity work in my spare time. I couldn't play for Celtic though.

I also don't do photo ops when I display charity.

Fair play to the lad but it doesn't change that he isn't good enough.

He is clearly a good guy. I don't think I've ever disputed that. I also think if you go back far enough in this thread you will see me bigging him up something chronic

I think that is absolutely amazing the charity work he does. He's still pish though.

Others make odd mistakes. Greg is quite bad a lot of the time. AJ is guilty of mistakes now and again but they are anomalies. Greg is targeted constantly and for a reason.

 

Let's just see what everyone is saying come next September once we see KT in action.

Plenty of other players have massively * up but no * is rushing to have a go at them

 

For me that is because everyone is allowed the odd mistake. Greg makes a lot of mistakes, especially in the games that matter.

If that seems like I'm singling him out then so be it. It's not on purpose.

 

It's like folk getting on the players back when they pass back to the GK or what not

He passed it out the park about 4 times the other night and at least once he took the ball when we had an overload and passed it back the way.

He's not good enough

 

I've found that a fair few people, here and elsewhere, have a habit of going in two footed on GT...insults/over the top criticism/denial of any positives etc. Only to then climb down to a degree when it's pointed out to them that actually they're being irrational.

It's so * weird.

 

Once some people see KT again, or for the first time because they are clearly 8 years old, the difference will become embarrassingly apparent.

 

Boys no good enough, that’s just the facts. Some fans think there is an agenda against him, but we have all seen the same script time and time again when European teams target him and quite often get success from it. It’s not his fault he is playing, that’s on the scouts who have been unable to find better than him. He had a very good spell domestically under Ange, I don’t think anyone could argue against that, but I still recall him being targeted when it came to Europe then too. Schlupp looks like an upgrade, and Tierney definitely is. Hopefully that’s our two next season and Taylor moves on.

 

Even under Ange you had Kyogo blocking the keeper from launching it down into our LB position. Why would we do that if the manager didn't think he was a weak link?
