Heard on a podcast from a former player he had the huff for weeks and weeks before he got his move was openly slagging the facilities and saying everything was a joke and criticising everything .

 

I dont think the fans meant the Tierney chants that way but I totally understand if he's hurt by it.

 

Given that Rodgers left us in the lurch in the middle of a season, I'm not going to sit and listen to him pontificating about respect.

 

Bizarre from Rodgers and pretty insulting to the fans. Singing out of excitement for a Tierney return doesn't collerate to not liking Taylor. I'm a bit confused by his over reaction to that today. If we sang about Jota would Kuhn be greetin' about it. Geez peace.

Seems to me like he has spat the dummy cause he knows the guy potentially coming in is levels above.

 

No competition for * knows how long and has stringed us along with his contract situation.

Let's be honest if KT comes back and stays fit Taylor will be lucky to wear a Celtic shirt again. KT is light years ahead of him. The truth hurts wee man & don't blame the Celtic fans for knowing what you know yourself.

My worry with the Rodgers reaction today though is that KT coming back isn't very far down the line if happening at all otherwise I don't think he would be so vocal about things.

If your bosses don’t back you, don’t be surprised when that person doesn’t show any loyalty.

 

Think Rodgers just trying to protect and stick up for Taylor, plus singing Tierney doesn’t mean get rid of Taylor.

I’d be happy enough KT and Taylor as our left backs, Rodgers has taken it out of context I would say.

 

I think if you'd have asked most fans a month ago, they'd all be happy with Tierney and Taylor as our LB'S.

At this stage however, I think it's best for both parties to move Taylor on and bring another LB to compete with Tierney.

No harm if Taylor wants to see out the season however, he deserves that, but I'd be letting him go in the summer.

I want an upgrade on Taylor which KT would be, but doubt he would want to stay and be 2nd to KT.

I’d be content with Taylor as back up but wouldn’t mind us bringing in another in the summer.

 

Think that's exactly it. A gaffer is going to defend his players when he thinks he needs to and whether his wording of it or tone is to everyone's taste, especially right after a game when adrenaline is high. I wouldn't have thought the chanting was aimed as a criticism of Taylor, but I do think that he gets far more pelters than deserved and he'll be more difficult to replace than many think.

 

Can anyone give me a brief summary of what actually went on with Taylor today outside of the actual game?

Did he go straight up the tunnel in an apparent huff? Was there any other incident with the fans?
