Seems simple - GT not signing anything until he knows KT situation, understandable tbh

If Tierney comes, whoever is the second LB will get loads of game time. If Taylor isn't content with that, okay.

Sounds like he is keen on a move to Dinamo Zagreb. Either way it seems very unlikely that he will be signing a new deal.

You'd think this would known behind the scenes for a while now so hopefully we have some options lined up. Tierney would be a massive upgrade if he's fit enough.

I would have been happy to see him stay on more as a rotation option but I don't think he would be a huge loss. Best of luck to him if he chooses to move on.

Celtic are also still in talks with left-back Greg Taylor over a deal. Manager Rodgers is hopeful an extension can be agreed but up until now there has been no breakthrough.

Croatia side Dinamo Zagreb have been linked with a move in this window. The 27-year-old also has potential options in Major League Soccer, Italy and Spain

All for Taylor signing a new contract if we bring KT back.

KT as first choice is great, but having someone who we can rely on in Taylor when Tierney is injured would be good. I know he's far from perfect but he's a good player and has improved massively over the years, more than good enough to play regularly for us.

Not so happy if he's signing a new deal and will be first choice, though.

I think it's simply a case of management seeing Taylor being a similar profile of player as Ralston that deserves a similar wage and amount of game time. He might see things differently. The reality is Ange helped extend his Celtic career by using inverted wingbacks, and now Brendan has tweaked this system so we can play both ways, which we are benefitting from.

Is a weird one this contract situation

How many times do we see players move on, and fail to enjoy the success and same levels of football at their new clubs.

Taylor, even as a possible back up to KT, would still enjoy plenty of first team football.

And anyhow who the * wants to move to Zargreb?

Agree, surprisingly thought he was our best player alongside CCV. Neither were perfect but not poor.

Hes * great. Ideal player to rotate with Tierney. Plays totally different meaning we can switch styles of play from overlapping, to inverted. Get him resigned n get off his back.

Agree on the rotation idea but he’s never gonna go for that. And I don’t blame him as he can go be first choice elsewhere. Tbf I’d be happy with that too as I think now’s time for us to move on and try someone else whether that be frame,Anderson or someone new.

he wasn’t the worst yesterday but there was still so many misplaced passes and flat footed-ness. I’ve also noticed something the whole defence does (so it’s not just Greg’s fault) but any time they are pressed into a corner they play a horror pass to calmac and take all responsibility away from themselves. Seen Taylor play a few of them yesterday any time he turned back and created danger. It’s a tactic obviously for cal to come short and get on the ball but they are professional international footballers, they should know when the pass isn’t on. There was one pass specifically Greg played to cal and * knows how he managed to dribble out past 3/4 players

Honestly, we need much better and have done for seasons.. even though he has done well at times.

    I would let him go..

He was fantastic under Ange, and anybody saying otherwise isn't being 100% truthful and he done decent enough last season all things considered.

He was far from our worst player yesterday, but he needs moved on, we need a quicker fullback to suit Rodgers system.

He's just easier to combat because he's slow, can't travel with the ball or go beyond overlapping..

When you've got that against a side who are at you and a left winger who can't even control the ball at times, or go by a man.....it isn't helpful..

We need a left back who can get on the ball, beat a man and whip balls in. No just that but can properly link up with a winger and open up spaces for a good one to drift inside and no have to worry about protecting how pish our left back is defensively..

Firstly KT was with us from a kid, and obviously has Green/white hooped blood.

Taylor was with ‘them’ as a kid, and doesn’t have a lot of KT’s qualities.

But, Taylor has been a decent acquisition domestically, and the trophy haul over the past few years reflects this.

Taylor and KT both together in the squad is a perfect combination for me
