Valle had a similar impact when he came on against Brugge and contributed directly to Maeda's goal.

Taylor is a good sub but they should stop elevating his skills. He is a great backup but that's it. He was brushed aside by Duk, I think it was, with ease. Why don't they take only that situation to judge him?

Look at both and you see why he should be a backup palyer for us.

If we want to move forward as a team some decent players for us are going to need to be upgraded on. Taylor certainly and obviously falls in to that category. We have the finances and squad that even players you highly rate and think "we are covered" in that area are going to hopefully be improved on. LB is the obvious first one.

On the other hand, if he’s sensational in it we all know how that goes as well, for me I want him a new contract and somebody infront of him in place much like AJ and Ralston.

Domestically he has been massive for us at times, and it’s apparent quite a lot when he comes out the team then back in. The unfortunate part of it is though, he is massive domestically largely through what he brings in midfield playing at left back for us but honestly, when we have Maeda infront of him it’s an incredible balance. Anyone we get in ahead of him it’s crucial that they can support the midfield in the middle whilst being better at full back.

He’s one of those players that what he brings is consistently overlooked. I feel he’s away though, squad place he might not be happy with coming into his prime as a footballer, playing infront of a crowd that sharpen the knives at any opportunity regardless of what he does.

Does he ever win a challenge?

    He tortures me defensively man..

He's nowhere near anything, ever. How many times does a ball come in the box that he fresh air swipes, was same again second half that they could've scored from..

Thought he was excellent going forward tbf, especially in first half. But caught out a few times at the back.

I do think he is a CM - I genuinely think he could play CMG’s role when he retires

He’s a quarter back in my opinion (however you translate that to soccer)

Thought he was good going forward, but murder at the back.

I get it's because of how he plays, but no matter the team, their RW always has tons of space to run into, he's always tucked in alongside our CB's, fine for the SPFL but it adds so much unnecessary pressure in Europe.

Defensively awful again yesterday. Has Schmeichel to thank for bailing him out first half.

I think he benefits from being the ‘spare man’ in that role though. If it was his actual position I’m not convinced he would have as much success.

He wouldn’t cover enough ground to play McGregor’s role.

So bad defensively. We need a left back to play left back, not one who’s a decent cm. If we want to overload midfield just start an extra cm.

One of our best players tonight. Really vital tackle towards the end of the match. Usually has a good rapport playing with Hatate too but Reo was awful tonight.

Thought he played well. Couple of good blocks and always looking to create space and linknthe play. Decent.

Other than that sliced pass, I thought he was good tonight, really helped us going forward.

Feared for him after his booking which I thought was harsh but he played well.

Constantly treats the ball like a bomb and kicks it away as quickly as he can.

Never had been or ever will be good enough for Celtic at any level

Was wanting Valle on because I was worried about his card but thought he did OK overall. Don't think there were many standout performances but he did well enough.

Not always a fan of him at this level because of how he struggles against pace; but he was outstanding again tonight. That's several CL games this season where he has been a standout on a pitch full of CL players. Hard to know what to say, really. He's basically Sammy in that you wonder how it's possible for him to be both a major weakness and yet also one of our most important strengths at CL level. He's both a really good footballer and slow as the proverbial.
