Maybe not "fallen out" but im quite sure that Brendan don't want to have a player around who dont want to extend his contract. I would play Valle from now on. Both will be gone in the summer so can just play the one with the most potential and hope he kick on.

Valle might sign if we give him the chance to shine, so its a no-brainer for me to bench Taylor.

His flaws are often exposed brutally at CL level and I’ve been critical of him myself for that.

But I still think he deserves more respect than he gets. Effort is never a problem with him and he’s a good option to have when healthy, even if it’s just off the bench.

 

Love him, but for me it's Valle's place to lose just now. Was excellent against Atalanta and is really coming on to a game.

 

If he can get back for Christmas it’s possible he could reach the 200 appearance mark this season.

Been a general consensus that games domestically he’s not played there’s not been the same control and something missing, we have recent examples of the difference he makes coming on in a game like that in the Falkirk one.

And people don’t put 2+2 together there, even when he was getting a lot of plaudits earlier in the season. His role as the inside fullback, that he has exclusively been this season btw, its * vital to making the midfield work the way we want. No other player supports or makes space for Calmac like him. And when he has space and support, and this season also freedom going forward, thats when we run * riot. Also against Slovan Bratislava in the CL this season as well btw.

 

It would be good to get him back and available. He doesn’t play ahead of Valle for me however.

 

Is there anything in his game that could be converted into a versatile utility player?

Main position being LB, but if a game calls for a more compact and narrow defensive set up that he could be a left sided partner to McGregor in a rigid 4231?
