Was at fault for their goal yesterday due to, once again, his lack of height. Been saying the same thing for years now . Yes, he gives 100% for us and yes he is a good guy but he will always cost us goals and we need better

Thought he had a great game. Made the 2nd goal with his pass to Kyogo. Probably our best player at playing passes through and over defences. We really need him when McGregor's not there for his link up play.
You could blame a few players for the goal -why did somebody not stop the cross from coming in from the right and why did our CDs not get to the rebound quicker -but if there's any way to blame Taylor somebody will find it.

Aye thought him coming in the middle gave us a death grip on the game. Was Calmac like.

Will never understand the fascination with height on this board. Wide players don't need to be tall. If anything, shorter players may have a competitive advantage due to likely superior mobility and stamina. The examples are countless. The two best full backs / wing backs I've seen in my lifetime are Roberto Carlos and Dani Alves who are 1,68 and 1,72 respectively. The #1 expectation from full backs is to run up and down the pitch, not to defend crosses. That's why centre halves are for.

Failing to stop the cross on our right side was the bigger problem for me. Something that happens a bit too often for my liking..

Yep, totally agree with you about failing to prevent crosses from the right however, Taylor's lack of height has lost us a lot of goals and he is targeted by every team we play now

Clearly the best left back at the club.

His height is what it is. As a team we need to protect our overall weaknesses.

As has been said stopping the cross would be a start or having cb protect him better would also help. Centre half in question being Welsh didn't help

Something that goes unnoticed about Taylor’s game is that he is capable of playing some superb through balls to the wingers or forwards. He did this in our recent match against St Johnstone and has also done it against Sevco.

Not sure if it goes unnoticed or because it’s wee Greg Taylor it’s not really mentioned. Unfortunately he suffers for being a homegrown talent. We all know that certain sections of our support would be wetting their panties if a foreign player or player who once played in the precious EPL were to play a defence splitting pass.

Not saying Taylor is a world beater but it’s clear at times certain people refuse to give him credit when credits due.

Wrong I think people do give him credit where it’s due but criticise him when he can’t do the basics of a full back which he is. I’ve often praised him for doing well and also grill him when he constantly does * defensively

He did try plenty of over the top through balls....but....so many were too heavy.
I like the forward thinking and I'm glad Rodgers has seen that he is plan inverted full back.
Reliable for a solid 6 most weeks. Some weeks more.
Decent player and that's about it

It is mental how much this position has been neglected

Tierney left 5 years ago in the summer.

Aye he plays some super through balls for our wingers, you don't see it as often under Rodgers but he done it all the time under Ange.

So did Ralston tbh, both are great at it, wish Johnston would try it more.
