Just can’t get enough Depeche mode

There was but due to us being so good domestically people would get shot down for the mere mention that Taylor wasn’t good enough. For someone playing such an attacking role under Ange his stats aren’t amazing either. Then there’s Europe were he was one of our biggest problems.

Look, he seems like a decent guy, works hard, gets on with everyone but he is so average and anything he does gets over rated. Put it this way if he played for the huns we would all say he was * :giggle1:

I remember looking at heat maps for the CL games and a lot of their possession was down our left. Taylor couldn't get into the final third either, he was basically pinned quite far back due to the pressure they were putting on his side. I can look them out if you're interested.

Guy gets a lot of stick bit credit where its due.

For the past 4 years he's been the best left back in world football in the £5m range apparently. Quite an achievement

Brendan Rodgers has provided an injury update on Greg Taylor, confirming the defender is back in training.

The Scotland international suffered a groin strain during the Scottish Cup victory over Buckie Thistle last month and has missed the last two fixtures against Ross County and Aberdeen.

While Taylor will remain unavailable for Wednesday night's trip to Easter Road he could be available for the weekend's fixture against St Mirren.

We'll see how [Greg] is for the weekend, he's out on the pitch and moving really well, working well.

"It'll just be getting the sign-off from the medical team.

"We'll see, if it's not the weekend he'll be ready for the next game

He’s a big loss when he he’s out. McGregor in particular suffers badly when he’s not there.

He's like Zidane creatively in the build up play compared to the other full-backs under Rodgers so far even though he's worse than he was under Ange and hasn't even been that good.

Greg Taylor remains a doubt after missing three games with a calf injury. “He is very close,” Rodgers said. “I’m not sure he will make the weekend but if not he should be available for the following weekend.”

Lad gets way too much stick but in domestic games he is always attacking and looking for that sweet linkup or intricate passes around the opposition box. Bhoy is a performer.

Looking forward to him coming back so we can go back to complaining how * he is.

In all seriousness, I don't think the gap between him and Bernabei is as large as some imagine, but it is there. He offers more going forward than Bernabei, though neither offer nearly enough in defence.

I'm just still fuming over the window. And it's not just that window either. LB has been a joke since KT left.

I'd say he is a much better defender than Bernabei. Don't think it's close really.

Been noticeably slower and more predictable in the build up without him here. Also noticed Scales is less decisive when he hasn’t been here, could be the leadership we know Taylor has (been well documented by a lot of players and he’s very vocal on the pitch) or that could also be the changing of partners in defence finally catching up. Last 2 games Scales has played next to Welsh, Nawrocki, Ralston and Berna. That’s mental for only 2 games, but thats what it has been all season.
