I was at the game and thought he was one of our best players. What did I miss?

Gives the ball away far too much under pressure and I don't think he's put in one decent cross in his career here.

He's improved. He's a trier. He's technically tidy when we're on the front foot. But we need better, we really do.

I'm a big critic of his and thought he's was excellent last few games against them and in general but thought he was poor today again.

Honestly staggered that anyone thought he was good today. Ballooned a few crosses, got done for a pace and kept getting too tight to his man and being turned. He was utter pish.

The huns targeted our full backs because they were the weak links in the team.

He didn't balloon any crosses. They didn't find a man but they weren't ballooned. I don't remember him being done for speed or turned to the extent that it stood out as a problem. He passed the ball well and was involved in the goal, put in his usual effort and didn't stand out as a weak link.

I was at the game and just watched the whole thing again on the telly and you're actually just making stuff up. You obviously have some issues as far as Taylor's concerned.

I'm not. In fact one thing I remember him doing well, when he took the ball past Tavernier in the second half with a bit of skill, he immediately followed it up by hitting a cross over everyone's head and out for a throw in on the other side of the pitch. That is a prime example of ballooning a cross.

Opening 10 mins or so of the game a ball got played in front of him by CCV or Starfelt (I think), he had a few yards head start on the huns player and still managed to lose out and let them get back on the attack. And he absolutely got turned a couple of times by getting too close to his man and not having the strength/speed to deal with it. That's off the top of my head.

Oh and one during the first half when Goldson played a diagonal to Sakala or Tavernier and Taylor stood about 10 yards away just watching as the huns player brought it down under no pressure. Mind the commentary team picking it out as being strange defending.

I think it's now got to the point where he had a couple of good games and he's somehow now being overrated by some people. He is and will continue to be the weakest part of the team. Imperative we replace him asap.

He's been a main player in the team that has just about won us the league.

He put a couple of balls to the back post but there wasn't anyone there which could be criticised though we do usually have someone at the back post. A ball to the back post isn't ballooned.
All the things you describe didn't stand out as bad mistakes. No player will have a perfect game and obviously he wasn't perfect but he didn't stand out as having a bad game.
He wasn't at fault for any of the good chances they had in the match and there were players who made more glaring mistakes than him. I thought Calmac had a good game but he gave the ball away when Sakala hit the post. Starfelt overall had a good game too but he passed the ball to Sakala in the first half that gave them a 3 on 2. If you nit pick over every wee mistake a player makes and ignore anything they do well you can make anybody look like they've had a bad game.

Gets a lot of stick when he has a bad game so it's only fair to praise him when he does well. Was impressive today, did a lot of good stuff.

Never stops. Nearly beat 3 men by the main stand second half but just ran out of gas..

Wouldn't of been able to beat the first man at the start of the season :56:

He's made massive strides since the start of the season.

Wouldn't have even considered him a back-up when this season started, now he's proper contention for that spot. Even if we need a better LB (and we do) he's extremely reliable.

He stood out for me today, great determination on the ball, did a lot of good work down the left, good passing and link up play, well done son.
