Not his fault he’s being picked mate, but even if a guy gives 100% but he’s been pish it’s not a wee boys Sunday league game”, oh you tried your best son and gave your all and that’s all we can ask “, it’s Celtic and we pay good money and can still criticise a player if we don’t think he’s good enough “

agree with you thou, Ange obviously does rate him to an extent and he picks him , would love the wee guy to be a success but I just don’t think anywhere near good enough for celtic

He isn't going to be good enough. You can tell he's trying his best but the quality just isn't there.

Taylor knows he's limited in his ability. He's not blessed with the left foot of Andy Robertson. He's been skinned tonight for the second.

He needs to pick himself up off the floor and stand proud and tall. We've got a league to win with him at left back.

Nowhere near good enough for this level and will always be a weak point. He adds nothing physically or ability wise to the team, left back is a priority in the summer.

When there’s no better option he’s replacing, we should support him, he has had two exceptional performances in big games in the Cup Final and against them this season. He’s first in line to be replaced, he’s there just now because he’s probably the best option.

I say probably because I’d rather Juranovic playing there and Tony on the right but that’s makeshift and is unbalanced. He does his best that his ability allows. I don’t like guys like that getting dogs abuse, it’s the ones with ability that don’t show that attitude I’m more than happy with getting it, thankfully they’ve been weeded out for the most part but guys like Ntcham I’m thinking of.

It’s like when it was Paul Telfer playing, guy got it stinking and everygame gave his all, done what the manager wanted and tried his heart out so the guys better than him could play. He done it with Naka, Taylor does it a lot for McGregor and Jota.

I think he’s useful, as a squad player, and in the dressing room and he’s willing to put the graft in to improve but he’s not at the level we need, and that’s not his fault.

Shown up big time but we all knew he would at this level.

Positions a priority for the summer.

Ability wise I think he has his uses, physically is what lets him down. If he was a bit taller, bit stronger or a bit faster he’d be a very good player. He’s not though.

Has his uses yes but not at this level, would rather Scales get a run of games. He looks more of a threat on the attack and solid enough defensively. I do like Taylor but just not good enough if we want keep improving.

He’s nowhere near the level positionally to be trusted in games like this, and can’t keep the ball as well.

He can be deadly in the final 3rd but throwing him in at this stage would destroy his confidence and development.

I want Juranovic there and Ralston on the right.

He’s as good either side for me, it’s his first assist tonight from crossing the ball in so his lack of cross from his left peg is fine for me, I think Jota enjoys Juranovic supporting him far more than Taylor. He’s been at his best with Juranovic supporting and dragging the 2nd man away from him.

That 2nd goal honestly. Pitiful defending.

It was genuinely like our players had been taken over by the wee aliens out of space jam or something. But not in a good way.

I mean he's bang average but I didn't expect that from him tonight given the past few games. He looked even slower than usual which is also saying something.

Hes such a weak link at that level.

He was awful for that, genuinely bad for it but I’m raging with Jota not following his man in. He tracked back almost the full way, and stopped the last wee bit.

He’s usually so good at covering and I love that with him because that talent usually comes with arrogance and he’s got the work rate instead.

That’s a reminder for him he does still have a lot to learn at Celtic, even though he’s got the talent to play in better leagues.

No, I'm saying most of the criticism should be pointed at those that brought him to the club and those who persist in playing him.

I've been pretty clear in here in the past I am not a fan of Taylor, I don't think he is good enough, but he puts the effort in and doesn't hide in matches. And when a limited footballer is put in a position of continually being played when they are out of their depth I just don't think you can ask any more of them. You can ask more of the recruitment team for a. buying them and b. not bringing in a replacement, also the manager for picking them, but not the player themselves.

He’s Irish, yes. He’s also better than Taylor even based on the small sample size we have to go off of.

He missed the reliability, support and work rate of Hatate. The difference between Hatate and O’Riley is massive defensively. Yeah Taylor got rinsed but their player also blew past O’Riley like he wasn’t there.

Taylor has his limitations which is proven against better teams, great effort but he's at best good back up as he's just signed a long term contract, didn't help the fact that Jota also on the left was stinking last night, left back from there team however qas very good!
