No, I’m not. We just have different priorities, I want our first team defence to be well gelled and focused upon, making sure they’re fully up to speed and are a good unit, that only comes with games.

You’re wanting those guys dropped for the backup.

I get what you’re saying mate, I just thought he would’ve featured by now that’s all.

People need to show they deserve a start, without injuries always think it’s harder for fullbacks. It’s not a position you tend to change in games for the backup to show what they can do. If you need a change to change a game it’s usually the strikers/midfielders.

He was injured for the Partick Thistle game wasn’t he?

No, I want our £2m LB to make his debut.. not too much to ask.

Getting him up to speed is a no brainer.. need more than one LB at our disposal.

Going round in circles here mate, might need to agree to disagree on this one.

He might have been cup tied for that mate, I get what you’re saying but our other defensive positions have been swapped about often enough tbh. I really think he needs some game time soon before it starts affecting his confidence especially given it’s such a big move for him.

Our other defensive positions have been swapped about because Ajers been injured, Juliens been injured, Elhamed’s been injured, Forster came in late in the window....

Which is pretty much my issue, that means we need to take every opportunity to get them to gel as a unit.

I think its reasonable to want that. Strange for us to spend £2m on a player and never play him.

Has Lenny said anything about why he’s not started? Will trust his judgement and end of the day you need to earn the right to pull on the jersey so if he perhaps hasn’t been up to speed, then fair *, he shouldn’t be in the team. Gelling our 1st choice back 4 is crucial too, so that should take precedence over just playing someone so he has made his debut.

He must not be showing enough in training to warrant a start.
Get let him settle in and get up to speed and used to our way off playing. His time will come

i'd have liked him to have had games so we can try out a more defensive side for away games playing the 2 left backs one more advanced

i take it he wasnt on the bench yesterday as he could have came on later on in the game

He had a hamstring injury when he signed. Don’t think he’s 100% recovered from it.

He’s fit, we wouldn’t have released him to play for Scotland if we were worried about him..

He does absolutely lack match fitness tho.

Didn't realize that and this puts things into a bit of perspective - source (just curious)?

Initially I was genuinely surprised that he didn't start against Ross County, but given some of the other comments about prep for Lazio, it now makes sense that he didn't. He won't feature in European games just yet and I don't think he'll start away at Pittodrie - my hope is that he gets time at home against St. Mirren. I really want to see him play for us!
