Taylor is steady.. nothing more nothing less.
Some of the criticism on here is way over the top... remember Carl Starfelt !

Forrest was the weak link last night.. could've put the game to bed thrice and mucked it up each time.

 

Did fine I thought. Criticism of the boy as always is well over the top. Anything he does wrong is absolutely slaughtered for, everything he does well is largely ignored. First half he did well down the left, linked up with Jota a few times. Second half we weren't great throughout and he definitely wasn't the worst.

 

We are 1 lb away from being a really good force

Lost count the amount of time's he gave it away last night..

Got breezed past a couple of time's as well which is the norm..

Got turned easily too many time's, including Boyce for their forced corner which led to the penalty..

I honestly can't take anyone serious who think he's the answer and should be getting a game for us at this point..

 

Taylor is an OK left back but we should be striving for more than just OK. The worst thing about Taylor is he is just so hesitant. Whenever he is on the ball he takes a few touch and seconds more to make up his mind. He is also hesitant to run beyond Jota. Compared to JJ or Ralston, he hardly gets up the pitch. Defensively he is not that great either. Considering he rarely get right up the pitch, I am surprised by the amount of he get caught out.

Certainly is the obvious weak link in our first team at the moment. I personally think Scales has shown to be better than Taylor, especially going forward.

 

Thought this too. Was surprised to hear that when the players were following their own training regimes during lockdown they all had to log a 5k time each week or a couple times a week and Greg Taylor always came out on top.

Caught out countless times again last night and half arsed trying to get back to recover from it. *

 

Taylor has flaws and attributes like every Celtic player - if they don't have any flaws then they don't play for Celtic with a few exceptions. If you highlight any players flaws and play down or ignore their attributes you can make any player look bad. Ange and Clarke rate him so either they're blind or stupid or some people on here talk * - I know which I think it is.

 

his 5km time is scary good but that doesn’t equate to being a sprinter… he’s as slow as treacle.

Well hopefully theres a future in being a runner coz he aint a footballer, absolute *.

Just to be clear - I’m not saying he is unfit, I’m saying he appears to be. I base that purely on the fact that after about 5 minutes, he looks like he has already played about 80 minutes. Always looks like he can hardly get his breath, red face etc. I don’t see this with any of our other players.

Maybe that’s just his face.

 

Don’t think it’s odd at all, he never stops during a game. He’s constant. * are just at the stage where they don’t want to look at anything good he does.

He's definetly a weak link and we should be looking at left backs for the summer. The fact we've just gave him a new deal is slightly worrying but I trust the manager.
